I honestly miss STHS. I enjoyed the randomness of the engine before it was cheesed and loved seeing the underdog team take a cup favorite to seven games or see miracle runs. The index was great during that time too.

I haven't been around the SHL for a long time so I guess I have to say that I would have had 10 seasons before regression compared to 9 seasons before regression.

I miss doing PbPs. It would be really fun to be the one in charge of running the thing. And putting up a "he shoots!" LITERALLY STEP AWAY FOR 5 MINUTES to troll everyone only to follow it up with a "shot misses the net". 3 hour PbP? Gotchu.

In all honesty, I haven't been around long enough to have something I like being stricken from the community. I like the new regression changes as a SMJHL GM personally.

One thing I wish would have stayed around in the SHL is the entirety of my draft class. Bunch of great people and a fairly young class, but as happens with sim leagues, people begin dropping like flies after a while. I miss my friends.

I think if there's anything I miss it's the wonder and excitement of having a new player. There's a lot of great stuff now that I'm having fun with, and I'm not looking to retire any time soon, but I think when the time comes it'll be a blast to go back through the system with all new teams and people to meet.

Something that went away in my time in the SHL that I wish I could have back is my life. I joined 10 years ago and my life has been basically over since. So if SHL could make that return I would appreciate it.

I'm too new to be able to answer this properly. I guess my answer would probably be forum participation. Although Discord is great and has a ton of advantages over just using the forum for communication, I still miss the old days before these chat programs. With primarily Discord locker rooms, you don't really see people from other teams and what they are like because they are behind a closed server or just a voice amongst many.

I'm too new to the site to miss anything, but I did miss one very important thing: the catchup TPE boat. I created my player something like two weeks before the catchup TPE program for new creates was announced, making Artemius Nystrom one of the three-ish last players ever to get screwed by creating at the wrong time.

I'm pretty new in the league so there are no good old days for me but what I miss the most is all of the S61 Zerks who got called up. It being my first season it all felt really special and I miss all of the alumni who had to leave.

As much as I do like the live streamed games, a well done PBP could be super awesome! I actually enjoyed doing them and it was a treat when you'd get to do a really fun game with lots of things going on. The game threads could be quite involved.
