I hate Tootoo but he actually has proven me wrong a bit so far.

Tootoo is meh, takes too many penalties but I can appreciate why he's here, rather have him in the lineup when we need a fighter than calling up Janssen.

Also Severson with his 1st NHL goal tonight and an assist as well, kid's looking like a stud out there, love his game.

The thing about Zajac is the other team does not score and does not have the puck when Travis Zajac is on the ice, the dude's a possession stud, he's a 50-55 point center and his qualities in both the defensive and possession areas of the game probably make him the 2nd or 3rd most important player on this team. You can't see on the Stat sheet every night the value that Zajac brings to this team.

I completely understand this, and that is why a raised an eyebrow at Zajac being at the bottom twice. But, it is only 2 games into the season, I'll probably bring the stars and flops out monthly as a conversation starter.

I'm just happy to see wide spread scoring around the roster and we're not one of those teams that has to pray for two different players to be out there. We can have most of our roster out there and they're a threat

Exactly. Think of a non-offensive Toews. Travis gives you what you need to win games purely on his shutdown play and ability to take over the puck.

We be rollin now!

Damon Severson was phenomenal once again last night, just such an intelligent hockey player and so responsible defensively. He had 12 D-Zone starts last night compared to 1 O-Zone start, yet he came away with a +12 Fenwick and +11 Corsi, kid helps drive the play and Scotty Bowman was raving last night about how good this kid is. I love our young defensemen, bunch of studs back there.
