The ISFL is my main sim league, and I tell you what - the bank and transaction system here is about 80 times nicer than it is over there.

For a gripe about the site... I don't know that I really have one. Maybe just not really knowing where everything is kept is annoying, but that's my fault.

Code:
Your task: Pick one thing you love about this site that you absolutely wouldn't change! Give props to those responsible (unlike mpt2 this is not meant to be sarcasm)
On top of that, pick one thing you'd absolutely like changed about the site and explain your grievances. Maybe HO will look at this (probably not)

A cool factor of the site are the live drafts. Over in the ISFL we have predrafts, which as a gm I loved as it gave us time to think about stuff as the draft went along. However I also see the benefits of live drafts and how exciting those are for more people.

The only thing I can think of that I would like to added is the ability to properly see box scores for games. I am not sure if the sim allows for those, but if it can those would be very neat to have.

I'm a huge fan of how welcoming the site is to people new to sim leagues, and the new index is beautiful. If I had any kind of complaint, I would echo most people here in that the one season of seperate SMJHL tasks users have to do doesn't really add much, and seems to take up a lot of time.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - Grapehead - 07-12-2021

The atmosphere around the live drafts is absolutely irreplaceable in my heart. The draft streams have taken that to another level, and the users who put those together deserve a lot of credit for delivering a great experience.

The lack of a single source for historic data is a glaring hole. If I'm just missing something then I apologize, but it appears to all be fractured into different locations for different periods of time. I'm sure if there truly isn't one, then it is something that is being worked on in the background, but it's still the thing I'd want to "change" as it were.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - notoriousTRON - 07-12-2021

Wouldn't change: I absolutely love the draft process. Being scouted and seeing mock drafts with my players name was an experience that I won't forget. I also love that the drafts are done live, even though my schedule doesn't always allow me to attend them.
Would change: I would like to see more community engagement and outreach outside of just site related stuff. Something like what the PBE does. I was involved in the SHL Warewolf server which I loved, but it's more or less dead now.

For me personally darkmode is a must as I cannot use lightmode because of my eyesight and color blindness. That is just something which works for me

One thing I would try to change here would be to highlight each section better

One of the best things about the SHL is the friendly user base to newcomers. I know when joining the SHL, there were numerous people that were out there that guided me every step of the way. This is something i would never change because as noobies, some things may appear overwhelming. There is also the player builder tool that helps newcomers choose their respective build and does the calculation automatically for you. You just need to put your attributes where you want it. The one thing i do not like about the site is the logo. I think the logo looks like something that was created on paint. With the amount of graphics talent we have, we can surely fix the SHL logo into something more cool looking

One thing that I wouldn't change in the SHL is the banking system. It being fully automated is really awesome and a great feature of the league, I wish we could extend it to other areas. If I had to change one thing about the league I might change it so there is no separation between SMJHL and SHL PT tasks just to line up with other sim leagues.

What I'd never want changed: The switch over from STHS. I love having more attributes in play for player builds, and the ability for people to choose their own role to contribute to their team. For this, I thank everyone that worked on the transition to FHM. You guys did fantastically well and in my humble opinion the move saved the league.

What I'd love to see change: I've brought this up before in a podcast question but I'd like to see the East on top of the West in the index conference view. That's how it's done at NHL.com, that's what I'm used to. It's small but I would certainly appreciate it.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - JURT - 07-12-2021

I like the whole banking system being automated instead of still having to post in specific subforums.

I hate the banking system because it's buggy sometimes.

Overall, banking exists.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - Wearingabear - 07-12-2021

I love the ease of updating and not having to think too hard about maths. Maths can be hard sometimes and i need a computer to tell me that 2+2=5. I'm not sure who helped develop the player update assistant, but it's incredibly user friendly and lovely to be able to just input all my updates at once.

I'd love to see a change in a few things:

The amount of jobs people hold and how easy it can or can't be for people to get involved across the site.

The accountability of both HO when there are issues that arise. Forfeiting a salary when each Commish or Co Commish has at least $50mil in the bank isn't quite holding people accountable. A non biased, independent committee should be created to create a large sense of accountability.

I think what I like has to be the dev team/index and all the work they put into the site. Being able to have something like that available to us is incredible.

I'll definitely circle back to the amount of drama and stupidity as what I dislike. It's pretty funny the amount of dumb shit that makes people go crazy on this site, and the pettiness is too much for me. I'll also add to this that I dislike the "cliques" that are present on the site, and it makes it kind of boring when it comes to team composition. A lot of these cliques end up on the same team all the time, which sucks.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - KaleSalad - 07-12-2021

Something that is awesome on the site is the new twitter pay system. Not needing to submit the claim every week is amazing! so happy they got that sorted out. Downside of the site PT's sometimes wish they were more related to actual things happening in the sims and on the site rather then making up random stuff week after week.

RE: s60 mPT #4: Feedback - Sean - 07-12-2021

I really like the direction HO has gone over the last few years. Corey and Nour have done very good jobs and set the bar higher for the leadership of this league.

Long-term I think it would be cool to move away from a forum based layout to something more modern. That would be a huge project and is probably very unrealistic.

Like: The community, from the people you meet through your team. To the people putting in the work behind the scenes to keep this site growing.

Dislike: Honestly, I am content with everything rn. Its a free site, can't pick it to hard.
