If this were to happen, it would probably be the most insulting moment of Baku's career. You rather have your 2nd best forward in the stands acting crazy than playing on the ice? Truly, Bettman is wrong and the tank would truly be on.
Baku would make a fool of himself and break the first rule of mascots don't speak. From his whooping, gorilla chants (in an eagle suit?!), and clear sense of rhythm, fans would figure out Baku was in the mascot suit fairly quickly.

I would be swinging down from the rafters right at the start of the game! Make a grand entrance but then all game I would be all over the crowd, interacting with the fans.

Firstly, it's ridiculous they would need me in the stands more than the ice. Secondly, I would bring my potato gun and launch as many spuds as possible at the opponent's bench.

With Boots given the task of wearing the mascot suit, he spends most of the day trying to get in the way of his teammates or trying to frighten them on their way out of the showers. If allowed in public, Boots tries to get as much swag as he can and tries to give out as much to any kid he sees.

Well the Winnipeg mascot is Sparkle the Bear. I think I would add a set of sharp metal teeth to the Sparkle costume and chase the other team's mascot around.

My goal would definitely to be as annoying as humanly possible to the opposite team by always standing behind my own goal and dancing very suggestively whenever possible.

While off the ice I would not make the best mascot, but on the ice during intermission games and such I would be an absolute menace. I would definitely default dance on people off the ice though
