RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - yosh - 02-21-2023 The statue will be of Vaseline Podcalzone hoisting the Challenge Cup over his shoulders in order to commemorate the Seattle Argonauts' first ever Challenge Cup victory back in Season 67. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Michiganonymous - 02-21-2023 It's not really a statue of Taschen Messer, since he hasn't really done anything statue-worthy at any point in his career so far. However, he did pose for some reference photographs that Montanan sculptor Eric Thorsen used to create a sculpture for the Grizzlies' home arena in Great Falls. Cast in bronze, it shows a hockey player on one knee talking to a young boy and a girl in hockey gear, as if coaching them. The piece is officially called We Can All Play. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - CptSquall - 02-21-2023 Between my now three players, who the fuck would build a statue of any of them? Richard Physt: Was a Toronto North Stars draft pick who was one of the first players on the New Orleans Specters. However, he only spent five seasons there and no longer holds any team records. He has largley been forgotten about as far as his play is concerned. Also, no cups. Ruslan Zaporozhets: Also a Toronto North Stars prospect who managed to lead them in scoring for the FHM era in spite of better players on the team and a lack of award nominations let alone cups. If he helped bring one, it would have been a no brainer. August Von Hecht: Has yet to even play a single game at the SHL level, he is not even in the top 5 of best goalies in Anchorage, won nothing in the J so far, and has brought ZERO success at the time of writing this. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - RomanesEuntDomus - 02-21-2023 A statue for my player? Isn't it a little early for that? Oh well, given that my best season so far has been my rookie campaign, it would probably the youngest and most rose-cheeked version of me possible. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - boom - 02-21-2023 Given that San Francisco was a last-place team this season, a statue of Sophie Bordeleau wouldn't make too much sense, but the plaque would say something like "Didn't Suck in S69". She got 74 points, so it would at least be technically accurate. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - hotdog - 02-21-2023 since i'm the GM i'm interpreting "your player" differently btw. as discussed in the ATL LR earlier the statue erected (not so much tbh) outside of the arena is a replica of Michelangelo's famous statue of David but instead of David it's of Nathan Explosion, the pennis size is the exact same though :pepelaugh: @micool132 RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Accka - 02-22-2023 It's a miniature statue of me in a slipping motion. The statue is placed before the bathrooms of the 2nd floor of the arena, section C6. The plaque says: "Beware of wet floor." RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Wheels - 02-22-2023 The statue for Fry was created as a reminder of his history. The inscription reads "Here lies Philip J Fry, named for his uncle, to carry on his spirit". (29 Words) RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - scudmuffin19 - 02-22-2023 QCC built a statue of a great big burly fella with the iconic owl posted up on the goalie equipment, a sign that the lunatic goalie for QCC has a side in touch with nature RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - karlssens - 02-22-2023 My goal was to build a punishing power forward, but based on this seasons stats it looks like I'm a high volume shooter so I guess the statue would be a pose of Oskar winding up for a lethal slap bomb. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - sulovilen - 02-22-2023 Considering I was traded here to Philadelphia just last offseason, it sounds like they accidentally chose the wrong player. If not, then it has to be because of some off-ice accomplishments. Possibly something like "Best haircut of S69", a statue of Stromberg combing his hair? RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - CrazyMojito - 02-22-2023 Jack St. Clair's statue will be made of brass because it sounds like ass and it describes his level of play. Thats exactly what the plaque will read too: "Made of brass because he plays like ass" RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - CrazyMojito - 02-22-2023 Whoops this wasnt AC thread RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Z-Whiz - 02-22-2023 I will be in the t-pose. This pose exerts dominance (which I've been doing since I joined the league). Nothing like being immortally cast in the most dominating form possible. RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - DarkCanuck29 - 02-22-2023 The statue would be of DMack in the middle of a crushing body check, the other player flying through the air, eyes wide in fear and adoration. Solid bronze. |
