With the solar eclipse showing up today, I figure we can present some solar based facts. Hydrogen and Helium were released from the Big Bang, but every element until (and including) iron are made in the centers of stars. Cobalt up to Tellurium were created by the explosion of supernovas. With the rest coming from neutron star mergers, it is fascinating that much of what we take for granted just comes from stars being quirky.

The second fact is that we're in a (relatively) small space of time where it's visible. As the moon leaves the earth by about 0.1mm a day, eventually a solar eclipse will no longer occur.
