We could also have a players elected all-star team with three forwards, two defensemen and a goalie. It would make us more aware of who has had a good season, especially for defensemen and goaltenders, because the MVP vote is usually focusing more on forwards.

Doesn't really matter to me to be honest since I've given up on doing them ages ago. Just can't be arsed anymore. Really need to develop new ways of getting tpe and cash. Place has gone stale as fuck and is in no way appealing anymore.

Not sure what other things the SHL community can vote on, maybe vote on the next set of SHL trading cards and the potential theme of it to see what card sets people are interested in.

We could vote on many things. Some things that make sense, others that don't make sense, but it wouldn't hurt to get people's opinions on major changes that affect a large group or everyone on the site, at least before you let a handful of people make the decision.

Im not looking forward to voting for MVP's again. If it is solely on us users on who we do vote for, its not a good idea. Bear in mind we have our elected awards committee who should take on the responsibility even if the users would let their opinions known

I really like that it's two separate tasks. It's less daunting and feels easier to complete over two weeks rather than one giant task to do over two weeks. I already only do written tasks sparingly and a massive task would make it harder. Especially since I usually do written task on mobile.

I would love to see an unsung hero award for each team. These votes can be a popularity contest, so this award would allow each team to honor the best player who never is in the lime light. You can only vote for your own team member and no one else's. Unsung heroes are often ignored in award ceremonies but they are the glue that helps a team succeed.

I think a "which locker room is the best" vote would be fun. Of course everyone would vote for their own, but it'd be fun to see the activeness of the various different teams in the league.

Didn't we just go through this to separate CW/ASW and now people want it combined again? How quickly we forget...
For the voting, maybe we vote on *less* stuff. The user-voted MVP is already often the exact same as the committee one because everyone sorts by "most points" and calls it a day. Voting for Last Player In on All Star teams is just down to whichever two teams get organized enough to collude together for their LRs to all vote for the same people; seems like it always just *happens* to be two players from the same team in each conference. Most people don't put in the effort to make the votes valuable, or they put in effort just to game the system.

I think if HO are in the middle of some decisions or changes that a vote from the community could be helpful. You then have the chance though that there will be meme answers but if it's actually something serious than I would bet that the community would take it seriously. So yeah, why not get the community involved.

We should be able to put opinions on every award really. The breakdown on why people get nominated over others would likely make some sense then. The downside of doing this though is it would likely mean it would take even longer to get awards posted as all the combining that would need to happen. So just voting MVP make sense.
