What's the SHL policy on "trade-backs" it's not in the announcements or rule book..

Players cannot be traded back to the team they were dealt from for 1 full season.

As long as we keep out first over all.

Toast, you're fired. Me and Munk are taking this over.

The lottery isn't changing because people are whining about losing it. That's the whole point of the lottery...there could be almost no difference between the last place team and the 4th last place team so what gives you the right to say you deserve first overall more than the other teams that missed the play-offs because you were last? It's a lottery, this is how lotteries work. The Rage had the best chance of winning the lotto and didn't. That's how the cookie crumbles and I can't believe people are actually that upset when theres basically no variation in quality of players in the top 5 of most drafts, sure your pick is a bit later but you still get the highest pick in the 2nd round and the same quality player you would have gotten anyways.

It needs to be changed. I'm not complaining anymore but it just doesn't make sense. That's all I have to say now. Future lotteries should be the same as the NHL.

Agreed. Finish last and you have a top 2 pick.

Funny enough this is exactly how the NHL works. The NHL tried out moving back only one spot and up a max of 5 spots for a couple years and changed it back to everyone having a shot at 1st overall...

- Wadester - 04-01-2014

Actually I was wrong about the rule being completely undone...but they're talking about completely undoing the only moving back 1 thing now too. But what the NHL does is irrelevant, this is the SHL not the NHL.

- stud - 04-01-2014

everyone for 1st overall is much better because it prevents team from tanking.

- Ochocinco - 04-01-2014

Yet again, not what I'm saying. The NHL does it in a way that makes sense. There is no justification for this.

I'm all for everyone for first overall, but team's can't drop more then one spot.

- Wadester - 04-01-2014

I just don't see what's so bad about 4th overall for a rebuilding team (considering our draft and our league which is nothing like the NHL)...especially when you still get 13th as well.
