They keep giving us more work, with less pay, and less people to do the work, and then get mad when we burn out? They will just get another body to burn out and toss away.
we had an assistant for 5 months last year... while my manager was on paternity leave, so it was actually just the same number of ppl except one of them was 22 and didn't know jack. it was super fun and efficient.
my coworker and i do joke about whether a given project is Crisis Level Red-Orange-3 or Red-Yellow-2. And people keep making expensive mistakes bc they aren't given the time or resources to do things properly and with oversight.
also I make books, so none of this really matters
