@RAmenAmen You know what time it is.

Before one of us retires (and I'm not sure it'll be you retiring first, your player is actually immortal, how much are you paying the FHM devs and why won't you pay them to code goalie fights instead?) we're dropping them at center ice. Who's home and who's away doesn't really matter at this point. As long as we meet each other again in the playoffs, we'll do it there. I don't know how much longer LA will be in fighting shape. Our regular season gets worse every season, and while we're still dangerous in the playoffs, our stars are turning gray. While it still matters, one on one, center ice, Polish meme vs eldritch god, we're fighting this out and going down in SHL lore as the best goalie rivalry the league has ever seen. You just know these guys are gonna be best friends in retirement, too.

When Jarrod Lakemore was younger, he got in his fair share of scraps on the ice, but he basically cut that out of his game completely as he became older. So for him to put the gloves back on... or drop them as the case may be, it would take something extraordinary. First, it would have to be against the opposing team's top player. Not just someone on the top line but the superstar of that team. Secondly, they probably would have to be a rival, so someone in the division who Buffalo has faced a lot, like New England. And lastly they would have to do something to really irk Lakemore. So with that criteria the most likely candidate for Lakemore to fight in this situation would be... Lily Jin Morrow, Lakemore's fellow countryman. Ah yes, it truly would take the antics of Morrow to get Lakemore back in the fighting mood... against someone he's got 60 pounds on. But hey, they started it. (168 words)

Valerija Serapin is notorious thug. It doesn't take much for her to drop the gloves.  Chirping gone bad, a rough hit, rude behavior, or just because she is in a bad mood over the score. She will drop the gloves for just about any reason against any challengeer. She is a classical trained fighter and if your do not possess a certain level of physical strength, you will get knocked down very quickly. Playoffs bring out a whole another level of of intensity, and Valerija is all about intensity. She demands respect from her enemies and gives it only to those worthy. Four career fight wins is nothing to sneeze at in a league where fighting is rare. She remains one of the leading defensive players in this league. She is considered leaving hockey behind for the UFC but any word on that will come in the off season.

Written Option 2:

We are in the last few stretch of games for Winnipeg Aurora and Yuri Boyka III is more determined than ever to climb the rankings and break his previous points record of 52 points. He also wants his team to do better as a whole and win their next couple of games. If team wins, it will also raise the morale for all the teammates. In order to prepare for this, Yuri Boyka III starts with heavy martial arts training. This teaches his mind and body discipline and he will be able to overcome anything with the right equilibrium. Boyka III never forces his teammates as he believes one who does so by themselves will reach an everlasting joy from overcoming obstacles to obtaining success in the end. As a result, he just leads by example and the people that want to will follow him. He gives no motivational speeches or even team building activities. It is more just a mindset and if everyone are on the same page, they will do whatever is necessary to become better. After seeing his routine, the entire team starts following Boyka III's routine and the Aurora look more hungrier than ever. At this point in time, it is too late to climb the standings but they have immense faith that they will kill it during the playoffs.

Shadow Fenix worked very hard to push his team to the next level by scoring a lot of goals. He made the push to get 100 points by the end of the season and it worked out. And the Argonauts in general had a very strong second half of the year after struggling in the first half of the season. Of course this wouldn't have been possible without his linemates, so Fenix told them that if they won a bunch of games, he would take them on a trip to his homeworld planet of Aiur. Of course, everyone is more focused on winning the Challenge Cup because the Argonauts have been struggling with that for a while. And we're trying to dethrone SFP because they're just way too good, it's not fair. So that's been another motivator that Fenix has been talking to the team about. Hopefully they can carry it forward into playoffs!

At the end of the season, when the season points championship and first seed is on the line, Edouard Lavoie simply does what he does all season. He puts his head down, and continues to grind. He makes sure to be in the place where his team needs him to be so that they can do the best they can. So far this season, that has meant playing wing and a playmaker role. He does his best to get the puck to his teammates so that they can put it in the net; and Lavoie has been doing it quite well. Firmly in the top 5 of plus minus all season, Edouard Lavoie finished tied for second place with several other players. After a long season of grinding, the Inferno fell just short of league points leaders, but they intend to prove that it does not matter once playoffs start. The Inferno will keep grinding in an effort to win the cup.

RE: S81 PT #4: To The Last Drop of Blood - Kyamprac - 03-15-2025

Option 1

I don't think Mia Lavoie has ever been in a fight at any point in her career. You would have to do a lot to push her to that point where she throws a swing because her primary focus out on the ice is just the hockey. But if you get to that point and invoke her fiery wrath, you're gonna have a bad time. Mia may not have much experience fighting, but if you manage to push her to the threshold where she's willing to drop the gloves in response to your provocations, she's pissed and ready to finish what you started. In the end she might win, she might not. But one things is certain, you're both coming out of that mess with some marks to show for it. She'll come at you like a Canada Goose having a bad day (as if they're not already terrifying enough as it is on a normal day).

RE: S81 PT #4: To The Last Drop of Blood - roquefort - 03-15-2025

Option 1:

Roquefort Cotswold has a keen mind and an agile body. He doesn't take very many hits out there on the ice. As such, it is pretty tricky to get him riled up. The only person in the league that I could see instigating Roquefort to the point of aggression would be @Soviet Sexpot and his player McLovin: the no good deceiving SOB himself. Soviet has been overshadowed by Roquefort in many a league, so in his frustration he has decided to sabotage our dear rodent protagonist. This demonic creature of a skater would likely slide his icey-steel blades across Roque's tail, perhaps in an attempt to "cut him down to size". Roquefort would respond in sort, with a flurry of blood lusted aggression to which has never been seen before. He would really open a can of whoop ass onto his enemy. He would keep the head off the center line, work the jab. After popping him in the nose to obscure his vision, Roquefort would sweep is long vermin tail and take out McLovin's knees - his weakness, as his old age has made him frail, his large stomach too heavy to be supported by his cartilage free knees.

Written Option 2:
As Vancouver battles it out in a stacked Northern conference, the young group of players are doing everything they can to gain any sort of edge going into the postseason. Marshal isn't one for many words, and the rambunctious locker room looks to him to lead by example on the ice rather than give pep talks or hype the team up pre game. As the season has gone on, Marshal has embraced his role as a 2 way playmaker, and as of late has really leaned into the 2 way side. Extra energy on the ice, whether it be hustling to loose pucks, diving in front of shots, aggressive backchecking, or laying out a massive hit in the defensive zone, Marshal has found ways to invigorate the Whalers defensively. The Whalers 2nd line, which has excelled offensively but been a net negative on the season, finally hit a positive +/- in the Whalers latest win streak. Marshal knows that defense wins championships, and that if the Whalers are going to compete in the playoffs against this brutal Northern conference, he and the team need to be at their best.

RE: S81 PT #4: To The Last Drop of Blood - AJW - 03-15-2025

In San Diego we feel (I’m speaking as myself for the whole team) that fighting is for players with low intelligence. We Tidal are far more superior with our words and therefore decide to dual other teams in spelling bees for our 5 minute majors. Whoever is crowned victorious will be escorted to the penalty box by hand and then met with a bow of respect. Whilst in the penalty box, the loser of the dual will greet the winner with upmost respect, and will pay the winner with every compliment in the book for the entirety of the 5 minutes spent together outside of the score keepers. Once the 5 minutes is over both members of the party will leave the penalty box, give a respectful fist bump of gloves, and proceed to each individual’s bench.

After this, the Tidal player who went through with the dual will seek out the opponent once more for an actual fist battle to the fault. It’s the only reasonable way to do things.

At the end of the season, there is no letting out. Tiny Princess only pushed him, and the teammates around him farther than before. On the ice, they push twice as hard as before, in the gym, they lift triple then their normal. If they are not able to sustain this, then we will never be able to win a cup. This is all to prepare them for the long road ahead. To win a cup, you need not only a strong body, but a strong mentality. This is why Tiny Princess reassures the Colorado Raptors that they WILL win and that they WILL come out on top. He takes everyone out to a nice team eating dinner where they will all bond and prepare. Then he takes them away for a quick weekend in order to prepare them even more with multiple trust fall-like exercises. Victory will come to those who have a drive to succeed.
