Del Vecchio hires Light as his agent. - Zoone16 - 11-09-2019
S50 SHL Draft prospect, Luca Del Vecchio, has announced this morning that he would be represented by ex-Knights legend and recent West Kendall Platoon retiree, Alex Light. The news came about as the SHL playoffs finals are underway and teams begin their scouting. Reaching out to the media, Luca said:
“I was seeing more and more scouts from various SHL teams asking questions and I wasn’t ready to answer them so shortly after we got eliminated from the SMJHL playoffs. Alex [Light] was in Kelowna to visit his old-SMJHL team and after talking with him, we both saw interest in having a mutual partnership. A week later, the papers and documents were signed. I am looking forward to working alongside a legend.”
Making his first public appearance since his retirement, Light mentioned,
“I always knew I wanted to stay in the hockey world after my retirement. During my early years in Kelowna, I had taken some management courses and followed through with them during my career. By the time I announced my retirement I already knew that becoming a player agent was the path for me.”
On the scouts looking to get into contact with Del Vecchio,
“My client won’t be looking to sign with any team that doesn’t contact us with an actual plan in place should they draft him. He’s poised to become a great SHL player should his development proceed at this rate and all teams should look into him.”
