Andrew: 3 seasons down in the smjhl and you seemed to take big strides this season increased playing time career highs in all categories what changed this season for you to take the next step.
Fitted: conditioning for sure but just working with the stars we've had every day in practise goldsy fiddler rikers (rykov) easton (joe Weston] downtown bobby lane rickey bobby the watchdog Alexendar himself the coaches [trella] working with me everyday and the best gm in the game [fuzz] always expecting nothing but positive results it really set a tone for all of us to be our best. Theres quite a culture here and many of the players leaving this off season are future stars.
Andrew: this club did have many stars do you think your ready to take the next step and possibly help lead this team in a bigger role perhaps having to be the main guy out there?
Fitted: I think I have to watcher I know will be back but many other guys returning are going to be young and are gonna need a strong leader I think I have that quality to this point I've tried to be a rah rah kinda guy but I'm not young anymore I'm seasoned now I know the coaching staff has faith in my abilitys my game has grown alot playing with such studs I honestly believe this teams not finished we seem to play our best when our backs are against the wall and I think we are gonna surprise alot of people this season.
Andrew: does it worry you at all that teams maybe will key on you now since the others are departing?
Fitted: Not at all the first captain I had here Gaspard Boone was keyed on every night I remember her telling me they have there game plan I have mine when I asked her what her gameplan was she said *better* I guess I just need to be better and help the young forewards along it doesnt matter how we start we tend to succeed here when we save our best hockey for the playoffs.
Andrew: well michael it's been great catching up with you have a great season next year
