Charity event in Bloomington Hills x2 Media - Lockwood - 03-10-2020 The Following is an excerpt from the Bloomington Hills Journal: Prospect William Lockwood was spotted at local charity event benefitting the Bloomington Hills community. He went home to home to raise awareness and funds for those affected by cancer. Will was spotted taking pictures with fans and signing gear. He stayed several hours and didn’t arrive home until late in the evening. The next morning he arrived at the local ice hockey rink and skated with local families to continue raising funds. When our writer asked a local parent on the time and effort Lockwood has given lately, the parent said, “Will has really helped out in a community that needs it lately. I mean he comes and puts in hours for all of us despite being busy with his hockey career. I really appreciate all he does. Great kid and I am sure he will be a great player in the SHL someday”. After a few more hours of various volunteer work, we got a chance to ask Will a few questions ourselves. “Hey, Will we have noticed you have been working here for quite some, can you tell us a little bit more about your charity work?”. “Well the people here have given me everything. Whether it was their attendance at our hockey games or their support in public when they see me. We are a close community and when one of our own needs help, people step up. And I am no exception to that. I am just happy to help”. “Well thank you for your time Will. We wish you the best next year in the SMJHL, wherever you end up”. Will, set to be a draft pick in the upcoming SMJHL draft continues to support his hometown with efforts that we have not seen from many other people in the last few years.
