S53 Awards Ceremony
Hi everyone! I'm Inf1d3l. You may know me from my live draft stream events, or as a member of the SMJHL Head Office. But this time I'm coming to you live, once again, for the first ever live SMJHL Awards Show, alongside my Co-Host @"Reid_Sutherland".
With the live events in the SHL and SMJHL becoming more prevalent, we are hoping to add more fun and excitement to the awards ceremony as well! So for now, here is your listing of winners and nominees from this past season!

League best GAA, four shutouts in only 17 games, a top 3 save % and 15/17 games won. No awards nominations, all star game or all league team nods and all that is including also not being nominated for most underrated.
Don't forget, the GAA and SV% are good to be #1 in the modern era record books, and shutouts (done in less than half the games of the other record holders) is good for tied #2...

Historically, backup goalies have never gotten extensive consideration for the best goalie award. The committee has always balanced raw stats against amount of games played, giving preference to players that put up great numbers while also playing the lion's share of starts for their teams. It's hard for great 1A/1B situations, and I understand frustrations people may feel about it. I stand by the decisions the committee made this year.
