Make Raymond Lindsay/Sarmad Khan voting private - boom - 05-24-2020
It makes no sense to me that this trophy is voted on publicly. If a person pays even some attention to the voting thread then it’s already known who won by the time the award show rolls around. It would be easy to use a Google form and a verification word to do the voting in private to at least make the award suspenseful.

Not even to just be less suspenseful, but I suspect a fair number of people just copy the first name they see. I agree completely with this suggestion.

I'm all about driving involvement with some TPE for voting--this wouldn't be a new invention, as the Awards shows (J specifically but probably SHL too) used to give away free TPE for day of engagement/predictions

It's 1 TPE, why not.
Still think that a large portion of these awards will be determined by the most influential locker rooms, but having a private voting system that also has an incentive attached would almost definitely improve it.
