RICH AND LUKE: THE MOVIE (PART 1)

INT. RICH’S HOME OFFICE - NIGHT

With the click of his mouse, RICH (20s, Sedin doppelganger) arms the CRAIG Discord bot for recording.

CRAIG
(robot voice)
Now recording.

RICH
Hello, SHL! This is Rich and Luke, Episode 30. Say hi, Luke.

Rich waits for Luke to say hi, but no response comes.

RICH
Luke? Can you hear me?

He starts clicking around on his PC to see if he can solve the problem.

RICH
(to the podcast viewers)
Sorry guys, looks like there’s some technical difficulties on either my or Luke’s end.

The display of the Twitch VOD shows two boxes on the bottom left and right corner of the screen.

One box contains Rich’s webcam footage, while the other remains black, with the name “LUKE” below it.

RICH
I’ll see if we can figure this out, but I might have to go solo on this one. Kind of a
bummer too, Luke was actually planning to do a face reveal today.

Rich types a DM to Luke--
RICH: everything good?
LUKE: ...

After a beat, Rich decides to go on without his co-host.

RICH
(to the podcast viewers)
Luke’s been typing a message to me for a while, so I think I’ll go without him. Hopefully he’ll stop in when he can.

CUT TO:

INT. RICH’S BEDROOM - A FEW HOURS LATER

Rich climbs to the top mattress of his bunk-bed. His bottom bunk remains vacant.

Before going under the covers, Rich pulls out his phone and looks at the SHL FORUMS. He goes to his post for the Rich and Luke podcast and reads the comments.

Many of the comments contain very nasty messages, such as--
-I come to see Rich and Luke, not just Rich!
-This was honestly one of the worst episodes of the podcast so far.
-BHN’s Beancast has become much better than Rich and Luke at this point tbh

He sighs in frustration. After closing the site from his phone, he opens up the mobile Discord app to see if Luke has said anything.

He pulls up the DM he sent earlier. The bottom of the screen still shows that Luke is typing a message. Rich defeatedly turns off his phone screen and goes to bed.

He rolls over and pulls the covers to his shoulders. After a beat, he is startled by the vibration of his phone.

It’s a Discord message from Luke! It reads:
LUKE: help me
RICH: what happened earlier? Everything ok?
LUKE: the Beans
RICH: ??
LUKE: I’ve been kidnapped by the Beans, I need your help

Rich is dumbfounded by the message. The look on his face shifts from worry to determination.
RICH: I’m coming to get you

Rich darts out of the room.

How will Rich get Luke out of this sticky situation? Tune in next week for part two of Rich and Luke: The Movie, brought to you by the Beans Hockey Network.

I've got half a full, overarching story in my head. The other half I'll figure out when I get there...

I'm planning on doing one part a week until I finish the whole thing, with other SHL related characters popping in every now and then Ninja
