New Orleans has given me everything I have today. The memories I've made here are some of the best of my life, and absolutely nothing will ever top lifting the cup just a season ago. Nothing compares, not even the double gold with DACH and Germany from my second year in the league. Being allowed to thrive here in New Orleans, being surrounded by people I consider family, GMs, coaches and teammates who support me and who I know I can come to with anything is more than I could have ever hoped for. I truly wouldn't be where I am today without the constant support of everyone involved in this organization. Some people spend their whole careers wondering if the grass is greener, but I don't. I know this is the best team in the league.
And today, New Orleans has given me even more. I'm happy to announce that my wife and I have purchased our first home together. I'm not going to make a list of features or rankings of the rooms I'd most like to go to. That's between me and my realtor. I've never taken more than the minimum salary in my career, and because of that I didn't exactly have a ton of cash to splash around (have you seen the price of equipment these days?). Shout out to an all time great in the making Karlstrasse Scholz @karlssens for the tip on the super low APR mortgage.
