The Dragons are very excited to announce the free agent signing of Boris “The Beast" Poroshenko!!! A beast of a man and a great player in his prime we couldn’t be happier he chose to bring his talents to Calgary! Boris has put together a good career so far and was a key addition for Nola making a run to game 7 of the cup finals last season, we know he can have a major impact here as well. A veteran member who’s brother is already in our locker room this was a no brainer move for the Dragons. “The Beast” adds a big physical edge to our line up, he’s great defensively, has strong offensive talent and is a great character guy! Poroshenko is a major addition to our team as we work to bring another championship back to Calgary!

Looking forward to achieving great things with Calgary! Coming home to a Canadian team is always another positive because the great white north is always the a great place to play
Just wanted to thank New Orleans again for what was an incredible cup run. While we came up short it was still a lot of fun getting to know all of you. Not to mention the Scarecrow connection was nice B) . Good luck going forward and it will be fun facing off against each other.

It’s was great building our friendship
we’ll still wreck it out there on the international ice, but Claude will be a beast regardless if Boris is there or not
