Tampa draft 2x media - Fitted2106 - 09-14-2020
Well it finnaly happened tampas last huge draft class has been introduced and shown the city. After doing this for what feels like an eternity we can finnaly start to take a look at this explosive group of highly touted prospects and get an idea of what the future holds in the city by the BAY. S 52 was not a good draft for tampa as the selected ulrik bergsted who went ia along with simon moreau and some other scrub. After this unfruitful draft things turned around for the club and it was about time. In S53 with the 2nd pick in the draft tampa selected amabacas cuddles who is now the gm and is going to be a stalwart of the back end for this group. At the making of this article cuddles sits at 914 tpe pre update and is without question the best pick tampa has made since taking michael fitted 39th overall in S50. Cuddles recently won a 4 star cup with carolina and has deep roots to that organization winning 3 cups as player/gm. I could go on all day about cuddles and his incredible steadiness, leadership and intangibles but trella wouldent like me to do that so it's on too the next one. In S53 tampa then had the 12th overall pick and took a chance on Valentin Kalashnikov who ended up being traded for justin Keahi as Valentine felt he didnt fit in well with tampas future plans. Justin has been a great pick up for tampa however and meshed well in training camp an S54 player. Pre update keahi is at 667 toe and figures to be in the top 6 in tampa very soon for a long time to come. Just one of many shining young players tampa has on the cusp of stardom. These 2 pale in comparison to the many more picks that Tampa has made and you will see as we chug along into this thing that tampa has made power moves and done so with force. Next up from S53 Frederick Wanesly who while no longer with the team as an expansion casualty will be missed by his team. A great locker room guy that just didnt have a spot when it came to tampas massive reserve of players linking up to get on the ice. Jerry hurveri was then taken at 24th but also has a cloudy future with the team. S54 and somehow with the 4th pick Tampa finds there co GM for trella taking dwight knight 4 overall. Dwight is a rugged player who will debut this season with the cuda and start showing the tampa fruits of labor and the vision former GM MCP had when he traded away the now for a stock pile of sick prospects. With the 19th pick tampa then took matty forester who looks to be around a 1750 tpe player and that's great for a possible 3rd-2nd line center. Forester almost flys under the radar on a team so loaded with talent and will soon make the jump my speculation is S57 and you will have a forester sighting in tampa. Forester currently sits at 614 tpe. With the 35th pick tampa pulled off there best steal since S50 Panda Pacio is an absolute steal at 35th hes a strong skater that does not shy away from contact, hes out up very respectable numbers in juniors and projects as a very good 2nd line player in the shl. S55 was the first of 2 drafts where tampa had a ton of picks, many many picks like a dumb amount 7 in the top 24 or something shit was crazy. At number 2 tampa selected cant miss dman colin Lambert who will undoubtedly be cuddles partner for many years to come. Rumham as hes known has gelled amazingly in the locker room and has many tools in his bag when it comes to play making. An excellent skater with great vision and sense he leads the rush from the back end and can clean his own up as well. To be strong in fhm you need to have great d, I think you will find the s54 draft came very fruitful for tampa in terms of d. With the 12th pick the cuda then selected Igor victory another defencse man. Igor has become a staple in the Tampa LR and makes his prsencse felt daily. We have emojis just for Igor and Igor has made Tampa a better place to be. I'm telling you folks dont sleep on this teams defense they are going to be a tremendous group the likes of which shl may have never seen. If you thought victory was a great pick well next at 14 Tampa took Jöörgüštrâäd DuBølk who projects to be a 2ktpe dman. It's becoming a trend you see 2k possiblitys and tampa dmen it's really a scary thought and I wouldent put it past Jöörgüštrâäd DuBølk to be up with the club as soon as next season. Making up for his last player falling short of expectations expect mcp to take this player all the way to 2k and multiple awards. At 16 as you can see tampa is just dominating with the sheer volume of picks at 16 they took Adrik Baranov another D who sits at 504 tpe and projects to a solid 1900. As you can see just in this draft alone 4 of there first round picks all went to the defencse, and with already having cuddles this team is starting to look sick on the blueline. Stacked really if you ask me this just shows how well management in tampa understands a rebuild. The last real pick of the S55 draft was TURG TURG a real resistence man that wears his emotions on his sleeve, he does not mess around and can really drive a team to win on leadership alone. Many thought turg may be to small to play at this level but time and time again he proves the league wrong. Now that's really as far as we need to go with this particular draft. As we move ahead we find S56 may have been even better for an already loaded group of youngsters. And now to present S56 and the number 1 pick, a coordination if u will of Tampa bay loading up on top guns. At 1 Aleksander Kozlov went to tampa and will make soon to be felt impact flappy giraffe is a site veteran and rich user. With playing junior in carolina it was a no brainer to take a former kracken with the first pick they had In another draft. At number 6 Vladmir Petrov is one of many petrovs and projects to be a unstoppable stud capable of breaking g teams down by himself and becoming a top goal scorer in the league. At 12 KnockedOut ByOvechkin was the next player selected by the cuda and is another strong steady toe that can finish off the rush. With so many players it turning out that tampa is looking loaded and co bm oletly un beatable by S65. Phillip Weaver Valtterri Kauppinen and boris petrov round out the least of this class and give the cuda such unbelievable depth that this team is going to be scary good in the future. It's no coincidence that since S53 they have laid the foundation of a team that will be hard to stop and could set shl records. Let's all raise a glass to tampa management as they have shown us that even the darkest of times have light at the end of the tunnel. Looking ahead michael fitted should be very happy to have such studs coming up soon to help him claim his mantle as greatest second liner ever.
