Game 13: Anchorage Armada Armada vs. Vancouver Whalers Whalers

The Anchorage Armada coming into this game remembering what they did last time against they played the Vancouver Whalers. They got there first won of the season! It was back and forth game, Anchorage ended up winning in shootout 4 to 3. This game was in Vancouver, so the Anchorage players had to go to Disneyland before even thinking about hockey. The team was so hyped to hangout with Mickey The Mouse, and his crew! Many of the players saw Anchorage Armada fans at Disneyland so of course they had to take photos and autographs for their amazing fans. Ride and after ride and the day finally came to an end. It was time to play some hockey. Anchorage was excited to play some hockey after seeing the improvement each game for the past three games. I am confident this team will make big things happen soon! It’s matter of time until Anchorage hits a hot streak and takes off, and wins six or seven in a row. I have been able to watch our team each game and see them starting to piece everything together and doing a good job at defending our goal, and even scoring as well, so we will see when we play this Whalers team. Anchorage went out to a early lead about 40 seconds into the game. Igor Victory sends the puck to a waiting Matthew Sawful. He taps it over to Igor Victory. He's got a chance at a breakaway. Igor Victory with the shot. He beat Name Redacted five-hole! Anchorage led for all of five minutes. Vancouver Whalers scored three goals in the first period, but the goals were not the only thing that was happening in the period. There were seven penalties during this period, four from Anchorage and three from Vancouver. Rotticus Scott got called for a holding penalty and as well as a ten minute misconduct. Literally two seconds later Vancouver scored. The face off was won by Vancouver and they have the puck after winning the draw. Luffy Richard snaps one from outside! It eludes Chimkin Tendy, that's in, goal for Luffy Richard! Mistakes leads to goals, two of the three goals were made from bone head. Anchorage made it a 3 to 2 game in the 15th minute of the second period. TURG TURG near the line. Fires it on net. Name Redacted gets his glove on it. The rebound is controlled, but TURG TURG  busts in and takes it. TURG TURG  jumps on the rebound and shoots! TURG TURG  scores! Name Redacted slams his stick on the ice. Anchorage would let two more goals in during the third period Anchorage was running out time, a lot of the players were gassed and did not want to jump back onto the ice for another long shift, the young guns were taking all the shifts and were getting pretty tired. They started to move slow, their reading the offenses not as good as they did a few games back. The score as we stand is 5 to 2 in favor of the Vancovuer Whalers. Anchorage did answer back with another goal late in the third. Thorbjorn Gunnarson in the slot. Thorbjorn Gunnarson into the slot and snaps one. And it's past the goalie Thorbjorn Gunnarson scores! The game is over and they lost to Vancouver 5 to 3 goals. Not bad, we scored a lot so that is a good, The defense actually played very well even if the scoreline was a lot of goals. The Anchorage Armada will be heading to Anaheim to face the Outlaws. Good luck to the Armada in their next game.

Game 14: Anchorage Armada  Armada vs. Anaheim Outlaws Outlaws

Anchorage Armada hockey!! We are on to game number 14. The Anchorage Armada taking on the Anaheim Outlaws. The S52 Four Star Cup Champions are on a good start to the season 8-3-0, adding to 16 points on the season so far. So, Anchorage is ready to try and slay the outlaws and send it back down to the bottom of the ocean! Anchorage has played much better hockey since the games where Anchorage got shut out or only scored one goal. We have been actually scoring goals! I am happy with the team performances recently. As the un-appointed Captain of the team, I am proud of the way these players are coming out and playing insane minutes and still playing good defense. Something will soon give, and we will be rattling some wins off. Anchorage came into this game wanting to win and beat the red hot Anaheim Outlaws team. But Anaheim had different ideas. This is the first game against each other, so we will see how it unfolds tonight! The Anchorage team that showed up tonight against Anaheim was not the team I was expecting. They struggled to get shots off, they couldn’t even just shoot the puck close to net, because the Outlaws defense was just too good. Anchorage Armada finished the game with 11 shots on goal. That is just not going to cut it, and try to compete with the bigger more faster teams. Theo Kondos chases the loose puck, as does Ryu Jones, but Ryu Jones gets there first. Now to James LeBlond and he lets it go... A wrist shot from outside! Ryu Jones redirects it out front. Oh, it beats Scoochie Stratton! Ryu Jones scores! The was the first goal of the contest. They need to find the way to score but get more than 15 shots on goal each game. Teams against them are putting up 53 like Anaheim did in this game. The final score was 3 to 0. Anchorage will face Quebec next. Go Armada honkkkk!!!
