S56 SMJHL Milestones - goldenglutes - 10-28-2020
SMJHL rookies AND send-downs are to use this milestone claim for regular season stats only. Playoff stats do not count toward milestones (with the exception of team trophies). DFAs (S58 SHL class) CANNOT claim these milestones.
-For all SMJHL ROOKIES each milestone is worth 1 TPE and there is a maximum of 6 TPE to be claimed from milestones
-For all Send Downs each milestone is worth 1 TPE and there is a maximum of 4 TPE to be claimed from milestones.
The number in the milestone counts for the milestone (X or more means you get 1 TPE if your player had X or higher in a stat, Y or fewer means if you had Y or lower in a stat you get 1 TPE)
Position is based on what your player is listed as in the index.

West Champion (+1 for TBD)These milestones are all percentile-based, and I've done quite a bit of work to make sure that on average, teams that didn't do so well during the season didn't get completely screwed. There should be no bias in the milestones for each position -- on average, the number of milestones achieved for a player in each position is very very close to equal.
I also took a bit of a different approach to the milestones compared to what was used last season -- goals, assists, and points are weighted quite harshly while some of the other milestones are weighted more leniently (PIMs, hits, takeaways, shots blocked). This results in milestones that still favour good teams and good players, but not nearly as much as they did before. Players on worse performing teams should still be able to pick up some milestones from those easier categories.
For goalies, I reduced the number of categories for milestones, but I also made them much friendlier for everyone. I tried to make sure that backups were still able to get a decent number of milestones (easy milestones like saves and goals against), while also making sure that starters would have some easy milestones too (wins, shutouts).
Overall, on average, players should get the same number of milestones regardless of what position they play.
