Announcing Auditing Department + hirings - luke - 12-02-2020
Hello SHL,
As we grow as a community, we also increase the need for people to double check work. Before, it was fine to have the Auditors be attached with the updaters, having them work closely, but with the increase in users comes the increase in mistakes. Because of this, we are moving the Auditing team to their own department, the Auditing Department. Badwolf will be leading the department, as she was already leading the auditing wing of the updaters, so it is only natural that she takes on this opportunity as well.
From this, we are also creating a new wing in that department, FHM Auditors, whose job is to double check that the player’s profile is matching their ratings in FHM. Luckily, we have @”juke” that is able to write a program in order to check almost all of the SHL and SMJHL players to their player profiles. Along with this, we will be hiring a couple of workers that will manually double check both the players he can't check, and people Juke can check, in order to have a solid system in place. This will also double check both the Auditors that are auditing updates, as well as double checking the updaters and file workers that work so hard to get your players into the sim.
We recognize that manual inputting of stats is something that will cause human error, so the aim of this is to help minimize the errors that make their way into the sim.

just curious how this is going to work i guess since the fhm output file for ratings sometimes inflates or deflates ratings cause of stupid scouting. very cool if you found a way around that

its always +1 or -1, so anything thats outside of that we can detect the people who arent in the sim properly
