Good day everyone! The S57 SMJHL All-Star Game is right around the corner, and so it is time to announce the time and rosters. The game will take place next Sunday, December 27th, at 7 pm. It will be streamed by @TheSparkyDee on his own Twitch channel. Plus, I hear there's gonna be some marbles starting about half an hour before the game so you can tune in for that as well.
I also want to thank and congratulate @Evok again for the great logo.
And now, the rosters! Some hard choices had to be made, and some very deserving players had to be left off, but such is the way of the All-Star Game. Congratulations to everyone who made it!

Quote:Every member must submit a minimum of 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies for each conference. These players will receive a number of points according to their reversed position.
Every member can (optional) submit up to 3 extra forwards, 2 extra defensemen and 1 extra goalie for each conference. These additional players will get 0.5 point each.
Tie-breaking rules are as follow. They only apply to ties where the player that loses the tie-breaker is left off of the roster.
1. Removal of the additional 0.5 points for extra players.
2. The player who appears on the highest number of ballots.
3. The player with the highest number of first place entries.
4. The player with the highest number of second place entries.
5. And so forth.
6. If two or more players are in an absolute tie (i.e. absolutely identical scores), a vote will be submitted to the committee.
We also had a few invalid selections: IA players, players put in the wrong conference, and in one occasion a player put at the wrong position. When these happened, that selection was removed and every player on that ballot was bumped up one place. We tried to be really thorough in validating them, but if you ever find a mistake, please report it to me on Discord (lespoils#4267) and we'll try to see if it's still fixable depending on how much time is left before the game.
You can see the final results in this sheet. I have rearranged the points in ascending order so as to avoid any identification of one single ballot's selections, but you can still see who got a lot of first-place votes.
You can always reach out to me if you have any question or comment about the process. I do not wish to discuss results as every member of the committee has their own views and are free to make their own picks, but I am always open to discuss how we get there. In other words, I'll happily talk to you about how the sausage is made, but don't come to me to ask why it doesn't taste like you hoped it would.
