(Graded)Deep Dive #2 / Scarecrow's Regular Season Day 6 (Games 12 and 13) - Jackers41 - 02-19-2021 Another Rough, Rough day for the Scarecrow's. They went 0-2 on the day which is never good, but we are here to look at the positive. (I usually do this in media but I feel like this would fit as a Deep Dive, so I am getting my second one done). I also didn't see enough to write about so I am keeping it to just top performers for each game. Rookie Firsts Lucas Andrasak scored his first career goal. Player of the Day - Iorek Byrnison (Goalie) Now more people wouldn't see this as a top performance but under the circumstances, I don't see how u can pick anyone else. Iorek had 53 saves on the day, and even though he allowed 7 goals, that's still very impressive for his first 2 full starts. I know Iorek is a young player looking to really develop and so his first few starts are great signs. I hope in the near future we can see him being a truly great goalie. Game 12 Top Performer - Kaito Bouchard (Right Defense) I think me writing about Kaito maybe a few. It is long overdue, with his great defense and his offensive breakouts here and there. Kaito had 2 points, and a +2 +/-. One of those points came from a great shot, and one came from a flashy pass. And don't forget about the defense. A blocked shot and a hit is never something to be disappointed about. Kaito is one of the older players on the team, and if he could bring a little more veteran ability to the team, they might be able to jump back over .500. Game 13 Top Performer - Scooby-Doo (Center) Scooby had a great performance, with nearly all of the output coming on defense due to the team's 0 goals scored. Scooby had 3 blocked shots, a hit, and a takeaway. He also had 5 faceoff win to go along with it. It might not be anything to write home about but Scooby did his job. He is a young player and he has really shown some bright spots with his 3 goals on the season. Scooby is a young player who is still developing, but for a third-round draft pick, is very impressive. I hope to see Scooby continue to grow and maybe one day be at the top of the game. Golden Shower Award The golden shower award goes to the player who earns the most "Player of the Day" honors throughout the season. Every time a player wins Player of the Day they get 1 point added to their total. Top Performers don't get any type of points because I am trying to avoid giving Players of the Day any top performers even though in most cases they would win 2-3 of them for the day. 1.
