S59 mPT #4 Cup Favorite - Keenan - 05-10-2021
We're nearing the end of the season, so let's get our prediction hats on! Based on what you've seen so far, but keeping in mind the playoffs are a whole different animal than the regular season: who do you think is the favorite to win the Cup?

FHM has brought us a lack of parity unfortunately so I'm just going to say Hamilton is the favorite to win the cup because that's how it usually is. Now let's take a look at the standings... yep they are in first with almost a +20 advantage in goal differential from the next team in the East. Should be super exciting to see Hamilton win it all again.

if the playoffs are a different animal then you'd have to think the teams with animals are at an inherent advantage, so i'm immediately drawn to Edmonton and Atlanta, led by Julio Tokolosh and Eko van Otter, respectively. However, scale one level up and we quickly realize that there are teams who are animals as well, so therefore the best choices here must be the Hamilton Steelhawks and the Buffalo Stampede

It's hard to argue against Hamilton when it comes to cup favourites this season. They lead or are amongst the top 3 teams in every single metric as of right now.

According to the last few seasons and FHM being what it is I assume that Hamilton will win. However, the real winner of the cup will be the friends we made along the way.

I’m going for a hot take here, but I think it’ll be Texas that lifts the challenge cup at the end of the season. They have the second highest goal differential at +93, and the fewest goals allowed by a wide margin.

I would like it to be someone other than Hamilton but that unfortunately isn't how FHM works so I'm going to say with some confidence that Hamilton are going to win yet another cup this season

well, without any bias whatsoever, my favorite to win the cup is the baltimore platoon. What they lack in ability to win games, they make up for with team spirit! Maybe if zoone stands on his head and saves every single shot he faces, we'll win or something

i would like us to win the cup again as we've had a pretty dominant season but texas should have a pretty decent chance as well; they played us to 7 games last season so it could be close. buffalo is in there too but i think it's probably going to be the steelhawks again which i like

I began this season thinking that the North Stars would win the Challenge Cup. But after the punishment that forced the team to move Stratton out, I switched my thinking to the Texas Renegades. I still think they're the favorite, though Buffalo and Hamilton will give them a run for their money.
Hamilton has the best coaching.
Buffalo has the best roster.
Texas has a great all-around roster.
Chicago technically has the horses to win it all but I think they're a step below the others. I don't see any other team challenging the aforementioned four.

I think we once again must look at Hamilton as the cup favorites. They not only have the most points in the league, but they also have the best goal differential in the league and seem to have no glaring weaknesses.

I would say Hamilton is the favourite but they seem to have issues winning it twice in a row. I think we need to expect an unexpected champion this year. If I can't say the Blizzard I'm going to say Texas wins it this season.

are likely the favourites to win the Challenge Cup again. They are having another dominant regular season and it always seems that they are in the finals for the CC. (43 words)

Anyone but Hamilton! So let's just take a gamble and go with my favorite team, the Los Angeles Panthers. It's going to happen one day, I'm sure of it, so why not now?
