S60 Early Bird PT - Mutedfaith - 06-04-2021 The time has come. Your talent has been noticed by scouts at the highest junior level, and you are set to be drafted into the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. What are the talents you possess that got you on the radar for these scouts that will get, or got, you picked in the S60 SMJHL Draft? Written option: Write about the main strengths of your player in 50 words or more. Graphic option: Make a graphic of your player demonstrating their main strength. Must include a player/render and mention what the strength is. Reward 2 TPE for doing the thing. (Just one of the options, not both.) Only S60 SMJHL Rookies (S61 SHL Draftees) are eligible for this PT. Do NOT claim TPE for this task until a post has been made in the claim thread. Deadline Friday June 11th, 23:59 EST RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Muerto - 06-04-2021 first! Grogu Mandosson's style of play is that of a counter-attacking forward. Responsible defensively in his own end, he has also a strong passer and has good offensive instincts. He is the type of player who can check the opposing player off the puck, then quickly break out with a strong pass and set up to make a play to create a scoring chance. (64 words) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - ConnorM123 - 06-04-2021 Glatts main strength other than being a terrifying shut down defenseman is his no nonsense work ethic. The man will put everything he has into improving and helping his team out on their quest for a championship, if he has to put his boy on the line for this goal then so be it. 54 words RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Junior - 06-04-2021 Donald Trump Jr. is a throwback. He isn't going to score all the goals or handle the puck in fancy ways, but what he can do, and what he can do very well, is make the other team feel the hurt. He lays yuge hits, that while clean, frustrate the other team. His stick gets into every lane and onto every puck in the defensive zone. He gets into the corners and against the boards and with his big body forces you to work yourself to the bone just to get control of the puck. And when the frustration he creates in you finally boils over, he will always be there to answer the bell or draw the stupid penalty you commit against him. (124 words) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Ace - 06-04-2021 Björn Viggosson Is a rugged, physical winger who will open up space for his teammates. His engine is always running and he’s happy to introduce the opposing defense to the glass when he’s on the forecheck. His physical style of play eats way at the defenders’ confidence and makes them second chess their decisions, creating turnovers and allowing the playmakers and snipers to have more real estate to work their magic with. RE: S60 Early Bird PT - monochroma - 06-04-2021 Leons Briedis is the epitome of the word "defenseman". He is, above everything else, incredibly committed to keeping pucks out of his team's net at all costs, almost acting like a second goalie at times. He plays a very fearless, physical game, not being afraid to get in the way of a puck flying towards his goal or to slam someone into the boards to take back possession. RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Big Newff - 06-04-2021 Newff is an offensive threat coming in at 6ft 144 not only does he have a blistering shot he has the silky hands to turn you inside out. while he brings very good offence to a team he also has will get back and block the lane. he wants to help take your team to the next level. (58) words RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Sly - 06-04-2021 When you look at a scouting report for Peanut Butter the major things that jump right off the page are: Pure, unbridled strength and aggression. He’s out there skating on the ice more interested in taking you out then taking you on, if ya know what I mean. While it’s true he displays decent skating and stick skills, his true passion is just roughing dudes up. (66 words) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - SchwarzNarr - 06-04-2021 Melvin's greatest asset are his antlers. Once known to strike fear into the hearts of men, as Melvin has aged into his prime, so too have his antlers become the focal point for all. While they might still be terrifying to the opposing team, his antlers are so magnificant, so majestik, that he awes those around him, and can convince nearly anyone to enjoy his company, if only for a few moments. This allows him to be a positive and shining force in the locker room, and a terrifying menace on the ice. RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Sebster - 06-04-2021 You see? It is easy. You shoot puck, I stop puck. You pass puck, then teammate shoot puck, I stop puck. You slap puck, I stop puck. You think about shooting puck, I stop puck. I am the last wall, the final defender, the ultimate boss, the glove in super smash brothers. Try me, bitch. (55 words) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - WithTheMoose - 06-04-2021 ![]() (Yes, low quality effort on the graphic, but it totals out to 81 words and this was more fun) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Citizen of Adraa - 06-04-2021 Well, Archangelo might be small, and lack physicality, or good puckhandling skills, or a powerful shot, or an accurate one, or have low hockey IQ...well Archangelo at this point doesn't have a lot of stuff. The one thing he has is just sheer, stupid, uncontroled speed. He doesn't know why he is doing what he is doing, or what he will do once he gets there, but oh man oh man, does he get there really, really quickly. RE: S60 Early Bird PT - UberBJ - 06-04-2021 Clem Fandango's greatest strength is that he is not just a top defenceman, but a top brand. He is what you build a team around. He is style. He is flair. He is....Fandango. But if you're drafting him for just his skills as a player (foolish), he can be your next Hamilton. Defending at one end and then quickly on the attack and knocking one down from the blue line. RE: S60 Early Bird PT - the5urreal - 06-04-2021 Atticus Hale possesses an exciting blend of intelligence and instinct on the ice combined with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. As his skills grow and he focuses on his strengths, he should evolve into a formidable playmaker with elite vision and passing skills that will allow him to find the open man more often than not. (59 words) RE: S60 Early Bird PT - Possum Queen - 06-04-2021 In junior leagues, most want to lead the league in scoring. Very few decide to put that aside in favor of being the stalwart defensive presence all teams need. Yet, Samuel Kjellsson has done exactly that. He has chosen to focus his attention on positioning, reading developing plays, and being the anchor that allows more offensively-minded players to take risks. He'll never light up the scoreboard, but those that do will have a difficult time without teammates like him. 79 words |
