What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - st4rface - 10-19-2021 Some people think STHS era was better, some thinks the opposite. Long story short - newcomers will say that STHS was pretty much random and based on luck and not builds, but oldheads will understand that STHS had it owns feeling and it was a great simtool. Of course, mostly these opinions will apply. However, I wanted to make a small media about how things have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF (FHM era). As we all know, players progress, regress, retires and then new ones joins. It's the circle of SHL. What does have changed in past 8 seasons? Let's take a look! ![]() IIHF of S53 ended something like this: 1. Canada - 11 wins and 1 overtime loss 2. United States of America - 11 wins and 1 loss (gold medal) 3. Great Britain - 9 wins and 3 losses 4. Czechia - 7 wins, 3 losses and 2 overtime losses (silver medal) 5. Germany - 7 wins, 4 losses and 1 overtime loss 6. Sweden - 6 wins and 6 losses 7. Ireland - 5 wins, 6 losses and 1 overtime loss 8. Austria - 5 wins and 7 losses 9. Switzerland - 5 wins, 6 losses and 1 overtime loss 10. Norway - 5 wins and 7 losses 11. Russia - 4 wins and 8 losses 12. Finland - 4 wins and 8 losses 13. Latvia - 3 wins, 8 losses and 1 overtime loss 14. Japan - 2 wins and 10 losses Next couple of seasons were were pretty much a domination of Canada and Great Britain being runners up. I didn't include bronze medals, because I wanted to talk just about most important medals - gold and silver. S53 - United States of America wins gold, Czechia wins silver S54 - Canada wins gold, Great Britain wins silver S55 - Great Britain wins gold, Japan wins silver S56 - Canada wins gold, Great Britain wins silver S57 - Canada wins gold, Great Britain wins silver S58 - Canada wins gold, Great Britain wins silver S59 - Japan wins gold, Czechia wins silver S60 - Japan wins gold, Great Britain wins silver In these past 8 seasons: - Canada has won 4 gold medals - Great Britain has won 1 gold medal and 5 silver medals - Japan has won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal - Czechia has won 2 silver medals - United States of America has won 1 gold medal As we see, IIHF is pretty similar to SHL. SHL has Hamilton Steelhawks who are dominating the entire league and winning a cup after cup - just like Canada in IIHF. Great Britain is like Buffalo Stampede which always are dominating regular tournament and then ending up in Finals, but losing and only rarely winning (hurts to say it as a Stampede player). Japan, Czechia and United States of America are these few teams who rarely shows up and tries to steal some of the spotlight. As we see, only five nations in past 8 seasons have been able to make it to the Finals. However, what does have changed since S53? Let's take a look at this seasons standings in IIHF and how does Play-Offs picture are looking like. 1. Great Britain - 11 wins and 1 loss (TOP4) 2. Canada - 10 wins and 2 losses (TOP4) 3. Finland - 9 wins and 3 losses (TOP4) 4. Sweden - 9 wins and 3 losses 5. Japan - 6 wins, 4 losses and 2 overtime losses (TOP4) 6. Switzerland - 6 wins, 3 losses and 3 overtime losses 7. Norway - 6 wins, 4 wins and 2 overtime losses 8. United States of America - 6 wins and 6 losses 9. Germany - 5 wins, 6 losses and 1 overtime losses 10. Austria - 5 wins and 7 losses 11. Russia - 4 wins and 8 losses 12. Ireland - 4 wins and 8 losses 13. Czechia - 3 wins and 9 losses 14. Latvia - 0 wins, 10 losses and 2 overtime losses ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As we see, some nations have gotten better, some have gotten worse, but some stayed the same. Which nation will dominate next 8 seasons? I'm pretty sure that Canada and United Kingdom will keep getting medals. The question is, which nations now will be these nations who are underdogs and fighting with sweats for some medals. Will be interesting to see which countries will be able to go higher in standings in the next couple of seasons. Best of the luck to all players in new seasons and last four countries in the IIHF medals games. 1604 words RE: What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - Inf1d3l - 10-19-2021 ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - sköldpaddor - 10-19-2021 can we get Latvia on the dating apps will that help with the down bad situation RE: What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - PremierBromanov - 10-19-2021 WE'RE NUMBER TWO WE'RE NUMBER TWO RE: What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - st4rface - 10-19-2021 10-19-2021, 02:19 PMPremierBromanov Wrote: WE'RE NUMBER TWO ![]() RE: What have changed in past 8 seasons in IIHF? - Carpy48 - 10-19-2021 Winland!
