News Report out of Colorado - Jayba1t - 05-10-2022 RAPTORS SEASON PREVIEW DISCONTINUING?
By Gedje Bayted | May 10th, 2022
Colorado, DN -- Legend says that a 5 season old tradition, dating back to the beginning of time is coming to an end. The Raptors Season Preview, a report detailing all of Colorado's transactions in the offseason, their projected lineup and depth charts, some strengths and weaknesses, season outlook, questions for the season and general content relating to Colorado's SMJHL franchise. However, with a change of eras, comes a change in tradition too. Jay, writer of the Raptors Season Preview, announced earlier this week that he would not be continuing this Raptors team favorite for Season 65. Citing reasons such as "I'm too lazy lol", he would go on and disappoint avid Report Reader micool132 and many others. Micool commented with his classic :pepew:, an emote signifying sadness or grief or in Micool's words, the "face of discouragement". The Report highlight many past franchise greats and future stars, such as the likes of Noel Blanchet, Angus McFife XVIII, Gonzo Gobbledygook, Shoyo Hinata and elite defenseman Binko Koivu. It contained, at times, some morbid predictions that Colorado was gonna fall to the bottom, while in reality we did fine. Sometimes Jay looked like a genius, calling for a Shoyo breakout in S64. Most of the time though the predictions aged poorly and were kind of stupid. Like the S64 Season one. So with that, we tried to reach out to Jay. He quickly answered a few of our questions before heading off to the SMJHL Draft. In summary, he stated that this "needed to happen", it was "time to move on and forget about the past", while looking forward to what the new Raptors "had in store" for the team. He was bittersweet about ending this well liked series of media, but was interested in looking toward the future and see what else was there for him to do. The Raptors Season Preview is now, officially, extinct. RE: News Report out of Colorado - Good_Ole_Kimmy - 05-10-2022 end of an era RE: News Report out of Colorado - micool132 - 05-10-2022 :pepew: |
