(GRADED)Deep Dive #1 - Next Generation of Colorado - C9Van - 07-29-2022

So another career begins for this generation as Isaac Forty-One becomes the 3rd SHL player in line to make an appearance! He finds himself on the Colorado Raptors who are doing relatively well in the regular season. How fun! So let us talk about the Colorado Raptors, shall we?

The atmosphere is quite different from the Vancouver Whalers' inactive LR from 3 years ago (Maybe that has changed now) and the Detroit Falcons but the buzz you get from the minors is still there for all of them.

If I were to compare the Colorado team to every other team culture I would have had the pleasure of seeing I would say its actively fun. You do not see people losing their collective shit when a run of poor results occur nor people losing their minds when SHL drama happens. It is just a lovely spot and I do hope for the upcoming draft I am lucky enough to find myself in a spot like this. I am a pretty good earner and expect to make the 2K club again a long with fighting regression so I am hopeful my forever home will have a locker room quite like the one the Raptors have built up.

I do not really see this time as a win now or desperate for success team either. Like, the will to win is very apparent but not to an obsessive level. Team strengths I would say is going to be our defense but perhaps in the few seasons we will really shine and prove that statement correct. I think we do have a good amount of D talent but adding Aneeq and myself just solidifies it for the future. Not to take away from our forwards cause they have an important job as well but I do believe that great defence wins championships more so. We are not lacking in that department and have Carl Rae Jepson going forwards too but overall I think we are probably going to be a legendary draft class for Colorado when we all look back in real life years to come.

As of writing we find ourselves 5th overall within the regular season and honestly, that is a good spot to be. I will be honest when I say I do not know the play-off system we now use. It has been 3 real life years since I was in here and fresh faced organisations exist. But it is better to be in contention at the top than at the bottom for sure. This puts us in a decent position to win it all going forwards. Now I have no real idea who has what in which position but I believe even if the playoffs do not go well, we may find ourselves in a comfortable spot like this or moving on up in the future and that is quite exciting for me and my friends that all ended up on the same team together.

I guess in a short tl;dr I would say excitement and optimism are the key words for the Colorado Raptors and going forward I can't wait to play more games for them.
