I'd probably suggest making the jersey some sort of rainbow themed with the input of one of the many LGBTQ organizations in California and San Francisco. We could create one per player with their name on it, and similarly to how the Penguins do it with their hockey fights cancer jerseys, have each jersey worn by a player for pre-game warm-ups and then auctioned off online with the proceeds going to the non-profit organization. Since the jersey should be worn at multiple games, it could happen on multiple occasions with each one going to a different non-profit organization. We could change the design even to focus on different marginalized groups and any colors or designs that the marginalized group in mind might be associated with. Hopefully this raises more awareness of various socio-economic issues in the community and raises money for them at the same time. Do you have any specific cards you like? Maybe an autograph or a jersey that's special to you? I have some hockey related collectibles that I am proud to own! I believe the first piece of hockey memorabilia I owned was a Vancouver Canucks Christian Ehrhoff jersey I bought off a friend during the Canucks cup run in 2011 (silly me thought Ehrhoff was going to re-sign after that season). I still have that jersey to this day and I don't plan on having the name plate switched because Ehrhoff was such a dominant piece on our blueline during that time for us. I also got to work retail for the Canucks a couple of years back and got to win some Canucks swag as well! I was able to win a mini-helmet signed by Henrik Sedin. This is quite special because I don't own anything autographed by anyone so having this piece from a Canucks legend is very cool. I also got to win an inside out Varsity Canucks jacket that is quite warm during the Winter time. This team's look has been pretty consistent from the start of its lifespan, so it's time for me to dig a bit deep. I like it when team looks really draw from the city or its history or its culture more than anything, and I've been a big fan of the "city" jersey trend of the last few years. So I would tap into Toronto's recent history as a city and make something related to the old Metropolitan Toronto symbolism from before its amalgamation in 1998. The color scheme would add blue and the old seal of Metropolitan Toronto would be used as a shoulder patch (like how the Syndicate use the Chicago Municipal Device as one on their main jerseys). On the front, I think I would stick with some sort of script Toronto, so as to not do something too tacky and centering the city proper. RE: S67 PT #4: Limited Edition - 5ympathies - 10-10-2022 Limited edition jerseys? I love those. My favourite real life team the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League makes the best ones. As a result I will take inspo for writing this point task from a newly released and upcoming limited edition jersey: the Diwali jersey. If you've seen them and if you have seen last years, this years one is much better in my opinion and as a result for the purpose of this point task, my limited edition jersey will essentially be the same as that one. It will feature lots of vibrant colours: yellow, orange, blue (cause I play for the Hamilton Steelhawks whose primary jersey colour is blue and it is important to retain some team identity). The jersey's will be free for whomever wants them, only have to pay for shipping. Alternatively people can get one for free at the game. Spread the word and all that. RE: S67 PT #4: Limited Edition - yosh - 10-10-2022 Creative Prompt The Seattle Argonauts probably would not go for anything too out of the ordinary. Truth be told, the jersey kits look spectacular as they already are. Nevertheless, in the hockey world, money is everything, so jersey promotions will definitely help out on the team's year end revenue. So, the team's management put their thinking caps on to come up with some creative ideas for promotional jerseys. Now, league rules basically make it virtually impossible to run a limited edition jersey to be worn for a single game, unless it turns out to be a league wide sort of thing (see: the reverse retro jerseys in the National Hockey League in some distant far away parallel universe that totally is probably fictional). Therefore, the safest bet would be some warmup jersey. Now, what warmup jerseys would make sense? The season's about past the halfway point and there's no holidays, right? Well, actually there are a good few coming up. Lunar New Year is coming up in February, and there's St. Patrick's Day in March. Who says no to some red and green Argonauts warmup jerseys? Auctioned away later for a good cause! There will only be 1,000 limited edition jerseys available and they will be $1,000 each. They will be arctic white jerseys with a really tight fur coating like a polar bear (obviously not real fur but fake fur). Then across the top half of the jersey there will be a giant angry polar bear snarling angrily across the top right side. With the front right paw slashing over the logo. Kind of like the slashes on the Toronto Raptors jerseys but much more awesome. The bonus being that these jerseys will also come with a chance to win season tickets. Everyone who buys one of these limited edition jerseys will be entered into a draw and the winner will get 2 season tickets. And of course a portion of the earnings from the jerseys will go to help raise awareness for climate change. Colours of the jersey would be of course somehow similar to current home jersey's blue and gold but in fact the main colour of limited edition jersey would be red. Why? Because red is a color of blood and when Seattle plays, it leaves on ice its every soul and blood tear of players. Red is also a color which is based on academic studies the best color to use in a sports jersey. I don't remember now what was the exact reason for that but if I remember correctly, red is the best colour to scare opponent's and also your own team-mates see you better on ice/field when you wear red jersey so it is mainly a visual thing in my opinion. That's why main colour would be red and then there would be also some gold parts in arms. It would be cool jersey. RE: S67 PT #4: Limited Edition - adamantium - 10-10-2022 Code: Creative Prompt -----
The Vancouver Whalers will be throwing back to their predecessors on select nights this season, with a jersey paying homage to the greats of their past...

It helps that they are both red. The DU on the chest should be being ripped or broken away by the Rage bull. Since the bull is charging forward, it only makes sense that he is breaking through the big crimson & gold DU. Its significance would be immediately obvious. Gatez broke through all the obstacles that he encountered in College (being called too slow, and not agile enough) to make the major leagues and became a star for his Junior team and then onto the pros in LA and now Manhattan. All proceeds of sweater sales will go to local food banks in New York. Food security is a big issue that Sean takes to heart. So lets break through barriers and rage on food insecurity together. Hope to see you all wearing a Gatez sweater this upcoming season. Why is it special to you? (150+ words) I have some hockey jerseys. To be honest, there are too many according to my girlfriend. From Sweden I have three jerseys from Färjestad BK. Two are home jerseys and one is away. The player names on those are Bastiansen, Röymark and Holtet. Bastiansen was MVP in the playoffs while I was standing watching with his jersey on. Those were good days. Bastiansen actually still plays hockey. He is center for Frisk/Asker and is older than me. Røymark, as he is correctly written is Norwegian, didn’t really pan out in Färjestad and went home to Norway. He actually plays in the city I live in now, but I will not set my feet in his new home stadium. Bunch of wankers, those pesky Vålerenga players.Marius Holtet was drafted by Dallas Stars and played a lot of games for Texas Stars. He was a great power forward, but had to retire due to multiple concussions. I also have quite a few San Jose Sharks jerseys. My first one was a black Niemi jersey. He got traded the week after I got it. Then I also got a white Marleau, three teal Hertl jerseys, teal Malhotra, black and teal Thornton, black Karlsson and vintage jerseys in teal, white and black without names and numbers. And to make it worse I have even more Tottenham Hotspur jerseys. I have always liked jerseys and I wear them whenever I can. That one time when Sharks were in the Stanley Cup final I was even mocked for being a fake supporter when wearing my Marleau jersey. But I have supported the Sharks since before Jeff Friesen was drafted. Do you have any specific cards you like? Maybe an autograph or a jersey that's special to you? For anyone that knows me, knows I'm a St. Louis Blues fan (there are dozens of us here!). My autograph collection is obviously centered around them. I have a Chris Osgood and Brent Johnson autographed hat which is pretty cool. I also have an autographed rookie card of T.J. Oshie which is nice. Aside from this, probably my favorite part of the collection I have is the dual autographed jerseys that my wife and I have. When we first started dating we went to a bunch of different blues games and, standing in the cold, eventually was able to acquire a complete 2003-2004 blues roster of autographs on it. Some notables on that list are the late Pavol Demitra, Hall of Famer (and captain at the time) Al MacInnis and legend Kieth Tkachuk. Osgood and Johnson are on that as well as the hat. I fondly remember too the night that I was able to snag Barrett Jackman's autograph. He came out in his huge black GMC and was blasting "Black Betty" from the speakers. Those were fun times. |
