S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - leviadan - 02-20-2023

They're erecting a statue of you outside of your home arena! For some of you it might be long overdue... for other it might not make any sense at all. Oh well! They're doing it nonetheless!
Your task: Describe the statue of your player that your team has built, and why they built it. What pose are you in? What does the plaque say?

I'm not really good enough to have a statue made for me but we do have a statue of our epico Captain yosh in a cool pose

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - efischermann - 02-20-2023

The statue would be of me holding up the cup, since I was a member of the first Seattle team to ever do that. The plaque would say "Always played second fiddle to the great Kermit Murphy, the one and only Tig."

First of all, why. But I guess Vik would be running away from a puck because he's so afraid of them. And the inscription would read "Really good at scoring, absolutely shite at carrying the puck."

The statue of Ben Jammin outside the syndicate arena will be Ben having heart eyes emoji's while he is posing on his DJ turntable. The plaque will read "Ben Jammin, the famous DJ turned SHL Hockey player."

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Salming - 02-20-2023

A statue about William Salming would be a humble figure. Salming's best attribute is his ability to keep focus in the game so a key thing in the statue would be Salming's eyes whose look would be very intense and full of confidence. However, in the plaque would be of course mentioned that Salming was always a team player above individual success because he is a member of Quad Gold Club without any awards or All-Star nominees.

2 lucky kids would join N'Zola in the statue as his unforeseen donation to Icehearts was notified by the LA Panthers organisation. With kids in his arms the plaque states "Remember to support kids"

Never been a fan of giving GM's or their players internal awards or plaudits. Perhaps if there absolutely had to be a statue then it could be a statue of all the players that were on the team for our inaugural season with the plaque "What a bunch of legends"

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - WildfireMicro - 02-20-2023

The Sir Devoir statue would be of him in a combat stance ready to block shots with his hockey stick and wearing goalie gear, and the plaque would say: "first ever Pokemon goalie in Baltimore Platoon history"

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - SewingWithNancy - 02-20-2023

My statue will simply be me with my arms in the air with my gloves and stick leaving my hands as if they are about to be 20 feet in the air. This was my pose as I scored the game winning goal in the cup final.

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Chevy - 02-20-2023

The statue of Strom is in a diving save position.  His plaque would read "On his head, on his side, backwards or upside down.  He flailed like a beached whale, and made a career of it"

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - adamantium - 02-20-2023

It's just Fiorentini kinda standing there in a pose that screams "mildly surprised that someone has caught him drinking milk out of the jug" and the plaque reads "Worst Italian-American in Seattle Argonauts history."

Petr's statue will inevitably end up in Prague, as for whether it's a statue of Petr himself, of the gold medal winning team, or something more abstract representing the will of the Czech people, I cannot fathom to guess yet.

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - Seymour - 02-20-2023

bean has been in buffalo for a long time so they made the beans out of frozen beans to signify how bean he was in beanuffalo

RE: S69 mPT #5: Statuesque - ZootTX - 02-20-2023

The statue of Miguel Hefeweizen was finally erected this week. Miguel is holding his hockey stick above his head like a Tusken Raider, there's no inscription yet as it won't be added until Miguel finishes his career.
