SCOUTING PROFILE:
Something that is clear cut, you know you are getting an active player in Jani. He has trained tirelessly to become one of the best players available in this draft class. He is developing into a talented two way threat and that is a threat in every way in the offensive zone. The man can move the puck both on his stick or with crisp tape to tape passes. He can screen the goalie better then most in the junior league. He also has a very good shot from the hash marks forward. Defensively he is sound better known for his stick work and tying up his opponents then a big hit, but with 121 hits in his rookie season clearly he is not afraid to make the hit when needed.
FUTURE OUTLOOK:
The ceiling is a franchise center for any franchise with a solid two way play that teams crave. The floor would be a solid second line two way forward. Either way he is a safe bet for any franchise that is lucky enough to draft him.
