With a 3 point game against buffalo in his 701st game of his career, Ivan Lacksamus reached 1000 points
The fastest player to reach 1000 points in the league ever. Hold the record for most points in a single season. 2nd highest point total in a single season in the playoffs. 4 100+ point seasons, and an additional 98&96 point seasons. Drafted 11th OA in S63 draft. Ivan was the right player at the right moment. Drafted to the right team in New England. I still remember being in voice call with then Philadelphia co-gm Honkers. No one else on the board I liked except for thief. Talking with Thief before the draft saying he might not max earn but he will try to be. His media article coming out saying that he
“I'm planning on doing some basic AC + Trainings and easy things (and that may even fall off), but really don't expect much out of Ivan Lacksamus. Feel free to pick me up late in the draft if you need a roster filler but wanted to publicly set expectations early on that my activity NEEDS to be minimized. “
However when talking with him actually he said
“I’m still planning on updates and all. Just limiting my time and not spending hours on spreadsheets and things like that
May miss some of the time sensitive things (like mock drafts will likely suck) but normal earning shouldn’t be a problem!”
That was 2 years ago now. Which is crazy to think about. The transformation he has done, all the credit to him. And to reward him for being a max earner in his draft class. Someone who put belief in New England. I am happy to say he is one of the best players to ever do it

To round it all off now, being the fastest player to 1000 points. The right situation to be in. The switch to FHM8. Him peaking with New England as scoring inflation happened. Having the right teammates, having New England be good for all of the scoring inflation era so far. 7th season of being on the top PP. 5 season of being 23+ MPG.
In the playoffs he is still beast mode. 206 points in 146 games. 5th All time in playoff points. 4 seasons of 30+ points in the playoffs, and another 1 time of reaching 40 points.
I am happy to have him here in New England. He will be one of the best SHL players ever. Proud of what he accomplished
