[Hiring] Draft Stream Team - JURT - 07-24-2024
Hi all,
Given an unfortunate lack of availability from a lot of the usual regulars, we're looking for a few people to work on the SHL Draft Stream this Sunday (and potentially future draft streams!).
Prep time starts at 3 PM ET and Draft Stream will start at 3:30 PM ET.
We are hiring for:
Draft Streamer
This person's task is to manage the streaming platforms. Our current setup is in OBS and obviously streaming to the SHL Youtube Channel. Prior knowledge of OBS is a plus, but we have detailed documentation on how to import the pre-made stream parameters and use them, so as long as you can get OBS to work on your machine, you're welcome to apply.
Pre-draft tasks
- Getting OBS up and running
- Getting logged into the SHL Youtube account (we'll provide you the access)
- Downloading the renders made by the Artist Team
Draft tasks
- Launching the draft stream
- Managing the stream display, namely copy-pasting files (renders, team backgrounds and logos) and hitting the "Change Scene" button to alternate between draft cards and the draft board.
- (Optionnal): Draft commentary
Pay
5M$ - Calculated as 3M$ for the stream like the other two jobs, and 2M$ bonus for the prep work.
Future drafts
This job specifically could use a dedicated user to pick up multiple drafts in the upcoming seasons. High job security if you want it.
Draft Sheet Guru
Never really know how to call that, but we need someone to fill in the draft board file for the rest of the team to be able to find the info they need easily (and the draft board display feeds on this sheet as well.
Tasks
- Update the draft lists (Next Players to announce + Players Announced) in Google Sheets
- Keep an eye on trades, input them in Google Sheets and notify Hosts and Streamer when they happen
Future drafts
We'll at least need someone to do the same job for this season's SMJHL draft as well.

Draft Co-Host
Working with returning host HFFO, provide colorful and insightul commentary on the picks, trades, etc.

Not only future drafts, but we can always use a bigger pool of hosts for future events such as Awards, HoF and All-Stars, etc. There is a lot of work available for people who would like to do these kinds of things.
