Now Introducing: TEDDY BLOOS [2x Draft Bonus] - yosh - 08-01-2024

That's right, ya boi is back with a new player (long live Podcalzone I will totally have a media post up for bro if I have the time in September when his career is like actually donezo ball, he still has one (1) more season after all)!  Consider this a player profile on Teddy Bloos leading up to the SMJHL draft in TWO (2) days. This also devolved into a yap sesh about Podcalzone as well but hey read until the end for a nice moral of the story

Teddy Bloos is a Centre from the great city of Riga, Latvia. He has played in various circuits ranging from his native country to pre-Junior leagues in the States and in Canada. Developing into a two-way centre that excels at the face-off dot, Teddy Bloos' primary skillset comes off of his game in the defensive end. While he might not lead the team in points, his smart defensive game has made him the perfect role player on the penalty kill. Many of the top offensive teams in those pre-Junior leagues often scratch their heads when their powerplay gets extinguished when facing off against Bloos' team.

Many hockey insiders have not, unfortunately, paid Teddy Bloos much mind in the upcoming Simulation Major Junior Hockey League (SMJHL) draft coming up this Saturday. While the defensive game probably leads all eligible forwards, Bloos' offensive production may not translate to the major junior level, likely jeopardizing his potential upside. Hence, many do not expect Teddy Bloos to go in the first round, with most pundits projecting Bloos to go at some point in the late second round. (Editor Note: ignore the fact that this is an auto-GM pick).

Of course, it's not uncommon at all for a late round pick in the Juniors draft to break the mold and stand out. For example, the Seattle Argonauts' franchise leading point scorer, Vaseline Podcalzone, was drafted in the 3rd round to the Newfoundland Berserkers. Meanwhile, his fellow NLB draftee, Jonas Kahnwald, was not a first round selection either, going in the 2nd round. Either way, both players have managed to carve out a lasting legacy in the SHL. Podcalzone, a well-established veteran and the second captain in Seattle Argonauts franchise history, will enter his final season with the Argonauts as announced just a few weeks ago. He not only holds most records in Argonauts history, but is also noteworthy as the all-time leader in giveaways across the SHL. Podcalzone may be missing that elusive individual award, but has been a finalist in various major awards. Most notably, however, are the various team awards. With the Berserkers, Podcalzone won a Four Star Cup in Season 55, and won back to back Challenge Cups as captain of the Seattle Argonauts.

My whole point is this, and to any draftee that is still reading this, do take note: your draft position is not a tell-all of your legacy. Stay enthusiastic and engaged in the league and in your locker room, keep earning that sweet, sweet, TPE, and only good things await.
