S78 mPT #0: The Myth - puolivalmiste - 08-05-2024 Free agency usually isn't really that exciting in SHL. What would it take for you to seek a new team in free agency? Or if you wouldn’t ever do so, why not?

RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Muerto - 08-05-2024 I've been through Free Agency with prior players which has been fun, but one thing I have never done is spend my entire career with 1 team, so that is my goal with my current player! RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Chris-McZehrl - 08-05-2024 I am very happy in Texas and right now I can say I wouldnt try anytime the Free Agency. My actual plan is to play the total career for the Renegades. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - cake307 - 08-05-2024 I think the chances of me going to free agency are about nil. Edmonton has been excellent to me, I love the team and the leadership so far, and I really believe in what we're doing. Maybe next time. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Carpy48 - 08-05-2024 With my first player I have spent my entire career with one team and I have learned a thing or two from that. I don't have a problem with free agency anymore. If there was a team that is among the top and there was a real chance to compete for the cup (and ideally I like the people in the LR) I'd give it a chance. The problem is that nobody wants to pay for high-TPE goalies, even in a trade. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Keven - 08-05-2024 The one time I briefly tested free agency with my first player was when I knew my career was dying down and I wanted to see if a potential cup winning team needed a cheap player. Chasing the one and only league title that eluded me was the only reason to test free agency. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - retuperkele - 08-05-2024 Funnily enough I switched teams through free agency and one of the key factors for me in a team was longetivity, especially through GMs who have been on the rope for quite some time tend to have a more clear plan RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - sliceruser - 08-05-2024 When Chicago was at its lowest, did not have a gm, about to enter full rebuild, no idea what was gonna happen next. I was offered 20 million to leave and asked to leave by several teams and i stayed. I would like to think unless Chicago kicked me out i would not be leaving. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - jaypc8237 - 08-05-2024 I would not leave Texas for anything unless I was forced to or I got a GM job in the SHL and had to move. I love Texas, I think it is an amazing spot to be, and if it was up to me I would never leave in Free Agency RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - dankoa - 08-05-2024 I tried free agency with my last real player toward the end of his career and didn't massively enjoy the experience. It's nice getting pitched by a bunch of different teams but it's hard to turn down so many people and ultimately felt quite disappointing so probably isn't something I'd be looking to pursue again unless I absolutely had to RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Gyro_Hero - 08-05-2024 I’m really loving the team I’m with at the moment - honestly, I might just grow attached a little too quickly - besides, most of the draw of the SHL lies in the locker rooms, and the game itself, while still important, is a fairly distant second place to me. It’s exciting to have that little pocket community, and I’m really not willing to give it up ♥️ RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - puolivalmiste - 08-05-2024 While I'm not really expecting to see NHL levels of free agency here I wouldn't mind seeing bit more movement, for myself I think if my peak would line up with teams rebuild I'd likely start to look elsewhere as current regression makes peaks lot shorter than 20 or so seasons ago RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Deng - 08-05-2024 obviously we would see the offers from different teams and see if anyone is willing give a BAG. But tbf I have usually stayed in the teams unless i've been traded. RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Aephino - 08-05-2024 I guess if a team somehow could predict the future, and could see that they were going to win a challenge cup that specific season, I would go there to ensure I get a cup on my resume. Then I could go right back to my current team RE: S78 mPT #0: The Myth - Anthique - 08-05-2024 It's best when the player annonce himself available to all team via a press conference, so that way everyone know they are looking for a new team. If it happen one day with my player, it's sure that I will let everyone know so it will be easier to find a team. |
