Please pick ONE prompt to write about. Do not mix and match prompts. Identify the prompt you are using in your submission - Copying and pasting the prompt will deduct from your word count so if you do this make sure YOUR submission is 150+ words excluding the prompt.

Written Option 1: Does your player play pranks on their teammates? If so, what kinds of pranks do they pull on them? How do your teammates react to these pranks? If your player isn’t the type to pull pranks themselves, are they the target of any pranks? Do they fall for them if they can be avoided? Feel free to describe how your player pranks their teammate or their reaction to getting pranked themselves!

Graphic Option 1: Draw your player pranking a teammate or getting pranked themselves.

Written Option 2: How does your player feel about using tricks to gain an advantage in play? If they enjoy tricks, what sort of nasty things do they do to get their advantages for their team? Embellishment? Dirty hits while the refs aren’t looking? If they aren’t keen on those sorts of tricks what could the league do to minimize these tricks from happening in games? How does your player prevent other players from doing these tricks against them?

Graphic Option 2: Draw your player embellishing a penalty or faking a goalie interference.

Written Option 2: Alexa isn't above a dirty play or seven in a game. She's not heading out to intentionally hurt anyone, of course, or even necessarily breaking the rules on purpose, but she plays hard and ruthless, until the whistle, every single time. Somehow, as she's gotten older, she's only gotten even more aggressive, too. So yeah, she'll hit someone right in that moment after they pass the puck, especially if they hit one of her teammates hard earlier. She'll knock someone on their ass when the refs are looking away. She'll take a hit and fall over if it'll get the other player sent to the box. You don't win by being the nicest player on the ice, after all, you win by scoring more goals. And when the other team is afraid to get too close, or to play too hard, it's easier to score goals... just gotta try not to get sent to the box herself.

Task 2:

If you don't want to cheat little bit, you don't want to win. One famous Finnish song says like that and somehow WIlliam Salming also believes in that motto even though he is pretty clean player who rarely sits in the penalty box for example. But still if he has a chance to show referees that other player made an error towards him, then Salming could try to do so. He wouldn't dive easier than normally but simply tell referees to keep them eyes open in those kind of situations. Salming also likes to gain advantage for his team by creating a solid and nice relationships with referees. He respects them and he believes that way referees are also fair for his team all the time. When you have a good commucation skills with referees, usually good things happen for your team. Sometimes Salming also likes to touch opponent's legs with his stick lightly to frustrate them in net front battles.

As an Italian faking fouls is in Gino's blood. However he really doesn't want to use his talent and instead is trying to be most respectful and honorable.
He really doesn't want to be a walking stereotype and is trying his best not to adhere to this image.

Sometimes, especially when he is angry though, this imprint is shining through however and he starts cursing in Iatalian furiously. This also applies to faking Goalie Interference or bouncing the goal around when needed.

He then immediately searches contact with the Ref and swears in his best disappointed italian accent.
It's too bad however that the refs have started to catch on and usually just roll their eyes when the "Italian guy" is approaching them like a frantic, angry hamster on skates after a contested Goal for the opposite team.

Let's hope that not being acknowledged by the referees eliminates the last bit of bad attitude that is left in him. Antics don't pay off, you people.

Matthias 100% pulls pranks on his teammates - changing their sticks out for rubber ones, swapping their hockey puck for one with a firecracker inside, removing cork from the ref’s whistle, all the way up to methodically setting up silly tableaus using hockey trees with everyone’s equipment on them - and that’s only the pranks that he pulls that are hockey-related. A whole world of potential exists out there for pranks that are just generic and silly - changing ringtones, leaving bobbleheads in the lockers of rival teammates, and dying jerseys in weird colours; that time that the Scarecrowd skated out against the Armada with their only uniforms being the exact same colours as Nevada, forcing them back into their locker room to get ahold of their “away” jerseys?

Yeah, Matthias might’ve had something to do with that >:D

It’s all in good fun, and in the name of making a little chaos. There are so many mechanical points of, if not failure, then points of absurdity in the SHL, and just poking lightly at one of those points can often yield pretty hilarious results.

Louis Belanger indeeds plays pranks on his teammates. Right now, he plays in St-Louis. Most of his teammates don't mind being pranked. Gyro Hero, mostly, is very playful and loves to play around. He's a great presence in the locker room. For the other teammates, it depends. Alexa doesn't like pranks and doesn't tolerate when Louis tries to prank people so he needs to wait for her to be gone. She didn't like when he brought a pack of cards when he arrived with the team and since then, has not liked when Louis goes for the fun stuff. Most players fall to the pranks because they don't think about it, they are just getting ready to play some hockey games and practice. It's a great joy for Louis to see his teammates fall to his pranks. He sometimes falls to the pranks of his other teammates, but he tries to be alert.

Marek is constantly getting pranked in the Philadelphia locker room. Part of that is because he's just starting his third season now so is still one of the new guys, and another reason is because hes a good sport and pretty laid back about everything. The team feels like he is laughing with them, and not out of embarrassment, and so the pranks keep coming. Tony Soprano once gave him day old gabagool. Antonio Flusso put clear tape on his skate blades before practice. Barg Hazbite emptied out a Barq's bottle and filled it with Mug root beer. Cale Salad stole Marek's lunch once and replaced it entirely with kale. Ricky Koivu deleted all the music off of Marek's phone and replaced it with just Drake. Red Kirkby once put a shrimp inside each of Marek's gloves overnight. BASE PACK once hid all of Marek's best trading cards and replaced them with low level duplicates of Tretyak. Johnny Shuffleboard continually makes rude comments about his mom.

You know, typical hockey stuff. But Marek enjoys having fun with his teammates and is far from the only one who is on the receiving end. He has big plans for striking back within the next couple of seasons, but right now is mostly focused on improving his game. For now, he can take the good natured pranking and bonding with his new friends who definietly care about him...right?

written option 2

If my player didn't have such strong morals, there would be a whole slew of tricks he could imagine pulling to gain an advantage. This is something my player would think about with his tremendous amount of free time in between games and practice, where his mind is surely to wander and day dream. On the sillier side, he'd throw a banana peel on the ice when the ref wasn't looking to trip up a skater skating past his bench. The ref would ultimately see the banana peel but the entire bench would deny the offense. The plan would be to trick the ref into believing the banana peel came from a fan. A dirtier trick would be hiding a razor blade in his hockey glove. When he'd get high sticked, he'd go to the ground, hands to his face, take out the razor blade and make a small cut. It's a little trick my player learned from watching pro wrestling. That way, they'd get more powerplay time because blood was drawn from the high stick.
