S79 SMJHL Prospect Showcase - Ruggsy - 09-24-2024

This season we have a wondrous announcement for yall. The return of the Prospect Showcase!

For anyone who wasn’t part of the league when we last put the showcase on, this is a pre draft tournament that involves players in our newest class (S80) as they await the SMJHL Draft. Giving not only these new players a place to shine before getting drafted, but GMs and veteran members alike a glimpse into the names they will be seeing more and more frequently in the coming seasons. I know I personally see people popping up missing it every once in a while, and hopefully with enough interest we can bring this back as a permanent fixture of the league.

I’d very much like to say please do not give me any credit for the work done here beyond writing this announcement (but finding all these usernames was hard work so please clap). This was a group effort spearheaded by @NaomiMannequeen that frankly takes quite a bit of work between brand new file creation, simming, and just facilitating everyone working together.

This is awesome. Love the idea! Helps new users understand what the season holds as well when it comes to games. I was clueless going into the first few games.
