S78 IIHF Awards - ghamss - 10-11-2024 We are well on our way into S79 SMJHL and SHL preseason but I’m taking us back a week to the IIHF tournament.  First off, thank you to Switzerland for hosting the tournament.  We’ve come away from Switzerland with a newly crowned international champion. Congratulations to Canada on winning gold, Finland on silver and Sweden on bronze. Although we’ve already awarded the gold, silver and bronze, we have the three individual awards still to give out. The tournament was packed with greatness from forwards, defense and goalies. As a reminder, the individual awards  are voted on by IIHF Hall of Fame Committee Members and based on Group stage results. Without further adieu here are the nominees.
