I have been living a delusion for some time in the SHL/SMJHL because I was under the impression that there was a team in Pittsburgh, which has a real team, but we don't have one in the Simulation Hockey League! That's good enough reason to make one!

Pittsburgh. We don't have a team in Pittsburgh yet! It would be so good to have a Pittsburgh/Philly rivalry in the SHL like we do IRL in the NHL. I want to see it!

I love my local team, the Pensacola Ice flyers. They were formally the Pensacola Ice Pilots. That would be a super fun SMJHL expansion. WHO DOESNT LOVE PLANES!!

I'd add the Kalamazoo Kangaroos! Lots of syllables and lots of alliteration. Really that's the only thing I've got at this point. I haven't actually considered putting together an expansion team tbh.

I think it would be fun to see a hockey team added from Anaheim. It would be a great destination spot for retiring SHL players to finish their careers in sunny Anaheim.

I think a Boston team in the J would work, could have a New England rivalry with Maine and Boston is just a great city. Their team name should be something with a lot of “er” similar sounds so it’s funny in a Boston accent.

i'd add the Levis (Qc) Quebecois, because there needs to be more Quebec City representation and I yearn to make Americans' life complicated with Quebec, Quebec City and Quebec City but on the other side of the body of water. I think we should however NOT expand to Ohio.

As I'm a huge fan of otters in general, I would like to add one such franchise to any league - and since it has to be an aliteration, as well as a location that isn't overloaded with franchises already, I'd create the Ohio Otters. Yes, I know we have our fair share of Ohio haters, but aliterations trump all.

Kind of feel like if they need to expand the SHL then they should just elevate and rebrand Vancouver and Detroit. The Whaler's are a rip off of irl branding and Detroits branding just seems a bit lower league for me.

I would probably try to get some international expansion under our belts because the travel and climate concerns aren't included in the simulation. If I could do 2 expansion teams and two relocations, I would probably set a European division in a cluster of major cities. Otherwise, somewhere in Mexico which is easier to integrate.
