When I was deciding where to put the Specters (jk, New Orleans was like my first choice and I kind of knew it from the jump), I did discuss other locations with TDZ. Kansas City was my second choice, we also liked Atlanta at the time but obviously that's been used now. Pittsburgh never seems to get a team in any of the big sim leagues, not sure why it's blacklisted. Also, a Nashville team, or a cool Vegas team would be fun. International, unrealistic teams are dumb, and they always will be. Thinking you're playing hockey on Neptune or that teams would be traveling all the way to Beijing to play hockey but they need to be in Philadelphia the next night for a back to back is just mehhhh. I get that this league is for fun, but i like it to mimic real life as much as possible, idk.

Where deserves a team? Well I think the game should start looking to expand internationally and outside of the North American market. I see no reason why we can't have teams from other continents involved.

I think we need expansion in the SHL. My idea is slightly different as I think we should promote one or two of the teams from the J to the top league as some of them have amazing branding.

Hawaii seems like a real growth market for hockey. Sure, the time zones would be really wonky, but I think you could do some really lovely branding and you have a ready supply of bored sailors to get butts in seats.

western teams i like sacramento or maybe even a phoenix team since we dont have to worry about having an incompetent owner. out east, probably pittsburgh or another new york team that isnt buffalo.

I love me some expansion ideas. I agree with a couple of people here in that yeah, we should definitely consider hitting up Europe for our next ideas. Netherlands, maybe? Should fate lay down their cards and they spell expansion, I'd be delighted to see us leave North America.

If we were to expand the SHL by 2 teams I would suggest Vegas or Portland for the west (bring back the admirals?). And in the east I think we could use a Pittsburgh team, or maybe Carolina?

I think the Canadian maritime provinces are underrepresented in the SHL despite the existence of Newfoundland in the SMJHL. I know Halifax was a J team before, but Halifax seems like the perfect place for a new SHL expansion to keep representing the maritimes.

Honestly, the audacity to have a team in Manhattan and not New York is ridiculous, how does new york not have a team, empire state build, concrete jungle, dreams made of. It's absurd and I will Rage about this performatively to pretend I care.

It was confirmed there would be no expensions. But if there was, I'd love to see the SHL go international. Let's stay close, why not Mexico City?

I think there doesn't need to be any expansion right now. Maybe for World Juniors, or a better reshuffling of the teams there because I hear a lot of complaints every season about the distribution of players.

Well having moved to Colorado, I would say move every team here because it is incredible here. Best state in the US. We have everything you could want here, so why not add more hockey!

Currently in the SMJHL, we have the Kraken atop the standings. Let's give them a natural rival: the Bermuda Triangle would counter them both thematically (one ocean nuisance versus another) and geographically (Bermuda and Carolina aren't that far apart, and there is nothing but ocean separating them). Bring on the sea series.
