S79 All-Star Host City + First Players In! - FaraDian - 11-11-2024 Hello SHL, As the regular season begins fading into the rearview mirror, the All Star Committee wants to start celebrating the players who made this season special. I'm here to kick things off with two big announcements. First, it's time for the Western Conference to host the big shindig and we'll also be heading north for The S79 SHL All Star Game, hosted by the Minnesota Monarchs Break out the purple, green, and yellow for your best royalty and butterfly themed concepts and submit them to the All Star Logo Contest. The rules are simple, and always the same: Submissions include two (2) variations: One (1) for SHL and one (1) for the SMJHL. The logos must be the same in every other way except for the league abbreviation. We strongly recommend incorporating the host team's colors and overall theme into the logo (MIN info) The committee will vote on the logo submissions and the total of the votes will determine the winner(s). In case of a tie, GMs from the host team will have the tiebreaker. If the tie persists, the committee head will select the winner of the tie. Prizes for this contest are: $4,000,000 for 1st place; and $2,000,000 for 2nd place (if the contest receives less than 5 submissions) $6,000,000 for 1st place; $3,000,000 for 2nd place; and $1,000,000 for 3rd place if the contest receives 5+ submissions The logo contest for this season's All-Star Game opens now and will close on Sunday, November 17th @ 11:59pm PST. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! We wanted to give some extra special recognition to a few players who really stood out this season, players whose All Star status isn't even up for debate.
