Dale Murphy Report: Round One Game One and Two - mee - 11-12-2024 Hey everyone been some time, but I'm back! Yes it is Dale Murphy here with a report on the Forge! They once again won the East and are in great position for a run towards the cup. The first round beings in Philly facing the Manhattan Rage. Philly did finish over 30 points better so they are the favorites. Game One at It was a very silent first period. No goals, no penalties. Philly outshot the Rage 15-8. The second period had a quicker start, Arnost Hlemyzd was called for Cross-Checking at 1:29 and Tony Sparno from Salad and Barca netted the PP goal to make it a 1-0 Forge lead. Less than two minutes later it was Leonard Wood for the Forge, 2-0. Just three minutes later? Marek Carda made it 3-0. The Rage got one back from Aksel Fiske at 15:11. 3-1 was the score, and shots went 21-19 for the Forge in the second. Not even 2 minutes into the third goals by Gnabe Dabson and a second from Sparano put the game out of reach at 5-1, the final. Philly took 2 penalties late in the period, but the Rage PP went 0-2. Game Two at The first period was actually evenly played, the Rage got on the board first, shnopple lopple, the Forge answered with a goal from Carda, then Cale Salad on the powerplay gave the Forge a 2-1 lead, and Barg Hazbite made it 3-1. But in the dying seconds of the period the Rage got one back, Betzee Nickleback, and a 3-2 game after one, 17-12 shots for Philly. But the second was not even. Goals from Lenord Wood, Graj Virrok, 3WW Wingmate-Roc, Gnabe Dabson, Barg Hazbite's second, and Ubba Lodbrok make it a 9-2 game. Lodbrok was in the dying seconds, revenge for Nickleback's. In the third, the Rage seemed to consider a comeback when Austin Morley and Céleste Desjardins made it 9-4, but the Forge had no such interest, as Hazbite completed his hat trick and Dabson added another for good measure. 11-4 your final. Indeed a wild start for the Forge and the sweep of the home games is a great start. Tony Sparano as usual leads the team in points with a 2-4 line, Gnabe Dabson and Barg Hazbite have 3 goals a piece for the lead there. Well that is all for today folks! The series will shift to New York and I'll catch you from there This has been the Dale Murphy Report Brought to you by Pepsi Signing off Dale Murphy ------------------------- 430 words RE: Dale Murphy Report: Round One Game One and Two - slothfacekilla - 11-12-2024 It's forgin time RE: Dale Murphy Report: Round One Game One and Two - KaleSalad - 11-12-2024 look forward to more recaps! |
