Blix900 Punishment - Frenchie - 12-28-2024

Good day SHL,

During their regular grading schedule, the PT team encountered some irregularities regarding @blix900's PT’s, namely the claiming of a PT Pass for PT #0 and PT #1 of this current season while they are not allowed to do so. The team subsequently audited the previous seasons up until the last season in which they were employed as a simmer. Upon investigating the matter further, it was confirmed that this had been intentionally done as a result of being released from their simmer position.

This resulted in a total of 54 TPE that were illegally obtained from falsely claiming a PT Pass, contravening Section 1, subsection K, rule 2:

Quote:Any Site Member who attempts to cheat by stealing money or TPE will be punished with a $5,000,000 fine, as well as a removal of the money stolen in money-related cases, or a removal of the TPE in TPE-related cases.
   a. The SHL Head Office reserves the right to levy a harsher punishment based on the severity of the case.

With the most recent precedent being the NJBadApple punishment, Head Office voted to issue the following punishment:
  • $5,000,000 fine
  • 108 TPE reduction (2x the illegally obtained TPE)
  • User Blix will be barred for four seasons (duration of the cheating) from serving in jobs that include any type of PT Pass as part of the compensation package, which includes PT Passes and Offseason Passes.

While this doesn’t specifically follow the established precedent, it gave Head Office a frame of reference against which the case specifics could be compared in order to establish a punishment that felt proper and respectful of both precedent and the level of the offense. This specific case had two elements that reinforced this level of punishment. First of all, the user was aware they were no longer on a sim team, nor in a position to claim a PT Pass. Second of all, the user would only claim the PT Pass for the Offseason Tasks, up until the aforementioned PT’s for Season 80, which the user confirmed was done out of spite. This establishes intentionality and full consciousness over the decision to cheat.

As always, Blix has 48 hours to send an appeal request to any head of the appeals committee, currently consisting of @DrunkenTeddy and @Leafs4ever.

On behalf of SHL HO,
Frenchie

Hopefully a better system to track who has PT Passes is set up

As for the $ fine. Thought it would be a bigger fine

The fact he's still allowed to do PT's right away seems like a bit of a slap in the face. If you took me to the gallows for cheating, why issue such a lenient punishment for someone else doing the same thing? I understand mine went on for literally six full seasons, and the punishment was indeed warranted, but cheating is cheating isn't it?

I don't have a horse in the race & my punishment is in the past, just felt the need to put my two cents in as the community felon and "subject matter expert" on this.

Well no, cheating isn't cheating, there are different levels to it, severity, impacts, and while I won't get into the specifics of this one case, I can tell you that this punishment is proportional to the cheating that occured.

Complaining about level of punishment when you cheated for 7 complete seasons on every single PT and were punished for 2 is a bit odd. Comparatively I cheated sparingly over 4 seasons and I’m being punished for 4 seasons.

I guess we'll just ignore the $30M fine, awards removed, putting my player in an early grave, no HOF eligibility, etc. Cool. Meanwhile you can just carry on doing PT's like nothing happened. My punishment was just & fair, and HO says yours is too so idk what you're talking about. I'm allowed to have my own opinion, as are you.
