SHL Transition to FHM 10 - SDCore - 02-18-2025
Greetings from SD/Corey!
We're super excited about the FHM 10 transfer. Just to give you all a snapshot of features that made this seem like the right move from HOs point of view:
- Fixed Playoff Features (Looking at you 1v8 for the SMJHL, and potential options for the SHL)
- Fixed scheduling issues
- Fixed finance and budgeting issues that impacted happiness
- Better GM quality of life features including tactics overviews based on your team. This should help GMs when making line decisions
- Better data and information on things like shot quality and more
We'll continue to introduce other features and changes that are coming throughout the season. Stay tuned!
I hope you all understand we will be as transparent as we can during this.

I've seen the shot quality data samples, and I don't think it's exaggerating to say it will completely change coaching in SHL. I'm so excited we'll get to bring this data to you all through the SHL API and the Index

@SDCore do you know if FHM10 includes any improvements to the core sim engine itself to make it behave more realistically? I know that was a major complaint for FHM8 live sims
it looks like the sim engine doesn't appear in the FHM10 trailer video on steam nor in the hour long OOTP developer video about new FHM10 features (based off a quick scrub through the video), which doesn't bode well. I am hoping someone tells me otherwise
regardless I'm sure the QOL improvements make the switch worthwhile

Well there's "Ability to repeat a bunch of meaningless sports platitudes in an interview you've been forced to do," but that's separate from "accuracy with water bottles you throw during other player's interviews"
