- OrbitingDeath - 09-17-2012 Future #1 Draft Pick First off we will start with an announcement, Willems Independent Player Agency will now be known as #TeamLTD Player Agency. We have chosen to rename due to this being closer to our own motto in the world of hockey: Living the Dream. But this is not the reason why everyone is here, we at #TeamLTD care for our players and are working hard to establish a healthy client base for the future. With 2nd round SHL Pick Jareth Sto Helit and future prospects Stefano Di Gennaro and USA Goaltender Mike Verminski the agency needed a big name, a future superstar, a player who could define the quality the agency is trying to deliver. After looking around the draft boards and checking out several prospects with 1st round potential, we only found one player who we thought could be the true #1 draft pick. With all the prospects focusing more on each other than on their own play, we at #TeamLTD are proud to announce the signing of the next superstar of both the NWJHL and SHL…. Roman Schultz That’s right, it is our biggest signing so far and both sides are happy to be able to work together. Let’s have a look at our latest signing, who is he, what does he excel in and why do we see him as the future #1 overall pick. Who is Roman Schultz When you say Zdeno Chara, everybody knows what frame they would be looking at. 6â€9 and 255 pounds. When you see someone with his frame and still being a junior, that can only mean one thing. You are looking at Roman Schultz. While he is ‘only’ 6â€8 and 250 pounds, he can be compared to Zdeno Chara. Roman Schultz however is not a foreigner, just the plain old American kid who is living the dream. He is born and raised in Natick, Massachusetts, not really a place well known for it’s hockey, but the big city is near and that’s where Schultz spends most of his time. As a motivated junior he is spending his whole life on the ice already in the hope of having a great professional career in the SHL. With declaring draft eligible for the S10 NWJHL draft his first step is taken, now it’s up to him to make the final step. One more season to go. Skillset CK = Checking: 50 FG = Fighting: 25 DI = Discipline: 62 SK = Skating: 80 ST = Strength: 50 EN = Endurance: 80 DU = Durability: 50 PH = Puck Handling: 86 FO = Face Offs: 50 PA = Passing: 80 SC = Scoring: 50 DF = Defense: 87 1/3 PS = Penalty Shot: 50 Defensive skill set When we look at his defensive awareness we see that Roman Schultz is already further in the progression than the most of his draft class, with so far having gathered about 180 TPE he for sure is the best available defenseman in the draft, currently working on improving his defense some more he is showing a lot of potential. His skating makes sure he is always on the right spot, his puck handling helps him to clear out the pucks with ease. For someone with a 6â€8 frame, he would need to work on his checking and strength to get more muscular, but even with these attributes being low, he will be scaring the opponents forwards all year long. Offensive skill set Don’t look for Schultz to be the one to give you a lot of goals, but he can excel on the powerplay as well. As an excellent passer and puck handler he can quarterback any attack, making him usefull in all the situations. Make sure you define some plays that can setup your forwards, because Schultz will be able to send that puck anywhere he wants, just don’t let him shoot. Conditional skill set Schultz is almost ready for playing in any situation, with his current Endurance level he will be able to play longer than most juniors. He should improve some more when he wants to play 5 on 5, Powerplay and Penalty Kill, but this is nothing a couple of weeks of training can’t fix. He is the most SHL ready defenseman in this year’s NWJHL draft. And no, that was not an error, Schultz will get ready for the SHL really soon. Motivation Roman Schultz has been very active in the media and the social media as well. He is getting his name out there and making sure he is noticed. Activity wise he can be compared to last year’s retiree junior: Michal Pivonka, the Czech wonder kid who decided to hang up the skates. Do not expect this from Schultz, he is ready to become the best defenseman in the league. He knows it’s not the most fancy role and he is happy with that. He wants to become a franchise defenseman, a player teams can rely on. Why should you draft Roman Schultz? Chances are, when your team is on the clock, that Roman Schultz is no longer available. A team is always built from the net and what is better for that then a superb defensive defenseman. When we look at the last year’s Four Star Cup Final, the all-out offensive team (The Vancouver Whalers) got out played by a team that played defense first ( The Detroit Falcons ). Defense gets rewarded and if you will get the best defender in the draft, you will have a guarantee for success. Schultz will be able to play on your top line, shut down your opponents and kill of the penalties that are thrown his way. Schultz is the future. When looking back at past choices, you don’t want to be the manager that passed on Schultz. He is a player that can be the face of the franchise and a true leader both on- and off the ice. Interested yet? We are looking for Roman Schultz to be drafted as high as possible. We as an agency support him in this wish and we will do all that is needed to make this come true. He has the right skills , the right mind set and the will to succeed. If you decide to draft him, we can ensure you that we will get him a contract that will be healthy for the team. In order to built a championship team sacrifices must be made. We won’t go all out on the contract for Schultz, we just want our agencies players to win a Four Star Cup. This is the year of Schultz. **Disclaimer** Roman Schultz was the fourth player to hire me as their agent. For all players who need guidance and have questions about the NWJHL/SHL, or just want help with their contract negotiations, #TeamLTD Player Agency can help you. - Words 1157 Images: 3 – - Schultzy - 09-17-2012 - HabsFanFromOntario - 09-17-2012 great read great agent SchultZ is going far - Carl - 09-17-2012 Nice read - Donini13 - 09-17-2012 Quote:After looking around the draft boards and checking out several prospects with 1st round potential, we only found one player who we thought could be the true #1 draft pick. i thought you signed me to your agency without me knowing when i read this line - OrbitingDeath - 09-17-2012 We all know its Schultz - Donini13 - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Green@Sep 17 2012, 03:17 PM more cash, more TPE, more activity it's k though you can think what you want - CyanWinters - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Donini13@Sep 17 2012, 03:27 PM Perhaps having THREE SIG PICTURES is causing your draft stock to tumble. It's certainly making me judge you. #forumetiquette - bbp - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Donini13@Sep 17 2012, 04:27 PM I'd question the more activity. This dude had an awesome player last year who went from being undrafted to predicted top 5 pick in the SHL draft. Not to mention he is an awesome dude to have in the room, as a teammate of his last year I can attest to that! SIDE NOTE: Screw you Malcont your dude is already better then mine :'( (minus the fact you aren't strong enough to lift a pillow) - Buster - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Donini13@Sep 17 2012, 03:27 PM You also have a TERRIBLE attitude. - Bayley - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Buster@Sep 17 2012, 03:42 PMBuster has spoken :o , Oh, I also laugh at your avatar every time. - Schultzy - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by bbp@Sep 17 2012, 03:40 PMI could never be as good as you. BTW, Strength and Checking are overrated in this game. And Strength has nothing to do with hitting in this game. - Secord - 09-17-2012 I still lol at junny's argueing over 1st over all in junior draft, shit doesn't matter one bit, the SHL draft is the only one that really matters in the end - RehnX - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Secord@Sep 17 2012, 04:48 PM It isn't really an argument, it's a few guys that have a very few posts that put all of their points into scoring and Donini. Almost every rational Junior I've talked to agrees it will be Schultz, and who goes 2nd isn't even close to him. But I agree, what matters is where we go based on our REAL play, not how many pretty articles we write claiming that we broke a billion CHL records. - Schultzy - 09-17-2012 Quote:Originally posted by Secord@Sep 17 2012, 04:48 PMNothing else to do in the long and boring off season. |
