Hey there! It's finally here, the final DPS Index rankings, where I glorify the most active and effective players in the defensive game based on collected statistics of hits, takeaways and blocked shots.

DPS Active = Hits + Takeaways + Blocks
10. Elena Maximova - LAP - 380 (-2)
10. Troy McClure IIII - NEW - 380 (-1)
09. Westley Kirkpatrick - CGY - 385 (+2)
08. Furious Chicken - BUF - 388 (-3)

04. Fredrik Gronlund - SFP - 417 (-2)
03. Dieter Fruhstuck - MIN - 418 (=)
Took lead at the beginning season, but kept succesfully third place for three weeks in a row. Fourth best blocker with 241 denied shots, very well performance on the back.
02. Ace Lightning - BAP - 431 (+2)
Pretty fruitive second half of the season brings Ace Lightning second place. Mainly great shot blocker, but solid receiver and hitter too.
01. Sven Holmberg - TOR - 452 (=)
Ultimate leader of this classification. Being second only after first week, hold first place for next three weeks. Second best blocker in SHL and one of the best receivers give Sven Holmberg the most productive DPS index in absolute numbers.

DPS Effective = Hits + Takeaways + Blocks + "+/- balance"
10. Dieter Fruhstuck - MIN - 390 (+2)
09. Simo Jaaskelainen - SEA - 394 (-1)

05. Sven Holmberg - TOR - 407 (+2)
04. Kristian Seppanen - ATL - 414 (+2)
03. Ace Lightning - BAP - 422 (+1)
Productive and effective. Ace confirmed that hard worked deffensive play doesn't go to waste, takes two podiums this campaign, even with negative 9 goals.
02. Westley Kirkpatrick - CGY - 425 (-1)
Solid defender, who doesn't dominate in any of aspects, but +40 goals pretty much do the work and bring Westley second best effective DPS index.
01. Ho Lee-Smokes - CHI - 430 (+4)
Started on lead and back just in time on top. Fifth best blocker and 19 goals on plus is enough to be the most effective defender.

Quick glance at team standings. Buffalo Stampede jump in the nick of time on first place, throwing out from throne Manhattan Rage on second place. Worth mentioning is that Stampede started season with 854 points and 16th place! Rage also poorly started, from 11th place, but second at the end is pretty impressive. Third Baltimore Platoon locked third place for a long time and for three weeks their position stand unchanged. One of the greatest changes from the beginning of the season is Texas Renegades performance, who started on fourth place, but from second week they systematically falling down.

And that's almost everything for this season. If your player wasn't on list, I can tell you that median for both effective and active DPS is 288, so you can count by yourself if your player had solid performance in defence. I'll prepare also something for play-offs, but let keep it in silent for now. Thank you for your concern, comments and views. Hope you all have had fun, like I do and see you!
