Hello, I am Ron Burgundy here reporting the news. My good friend Champ Kind went out on the streets to find out what makes this Detroit Falcons team the best in the NWJHL. Here is what Champ came up with.

Champ Kind here. I just got back from talking with Justin Cunningham and Brandon Donini about how well the Detroit Falcons have been doing. Brandon Donini said “Well we have a great group of guys that really know how to play well together. We have had a great start to the season and it has been an honour to play for this legendary team.”

These Falcons have been a force to be reckoned with. With seven wins and only one overtime loss, this team is looking like they could win it all again. The falcons are led by Captain Abraham, who has just solidified himself as a born leader and a great asset to the Falcons. The team is being led in scoring by Finnegan Larsson and Brandon Donini. These two players have been having great seasons and they are just getting started. This team is shaping up to be one of the best rosters Detroit has had. Although, one of the star prospects, Justin Cunningham, has been in a major slump and just can’t find the back of the net. When asked about it, Justin had this to say, “Well I have been trying to tweak my game to fit my role better and it has been a struggle, but the team is still winning and it will come in time. I just can’t get upset or frustrated with it because it will hurt the team if I do. I have been getting some help with my trainer and plan to be back to my normal self in no time.”

Justin Cunningham falling at practice from Donini`s prank.

Donini thought it would be fun to poke fun at the struggling right winger at practice yesterday by putting clear tape on Justin’s skate blades before taking the ice. Justin fell and the whole team had a good laugh. It’s all in good fun with the Falcons and clearly morale is high on this team and the wins just keep rolling in. Another unmentioned hero is the great goaltending from Gregory Thompson. He may not have a letter, but he brings a great deal of leadership and talent to the Detroit Falcons dressing room. For all the young goalies out there just learning to play the game, watch this young talent. We have never seen a better Thompson. He has just come in from a great season last year and managed to top it.

These Falcons are playing great hockey and having fun doing it. Life in Detroit couldn’t be much better for this Falcons lineup. This is Champ Kind here, back to you Ron.

That was something else Champ, great reporting by the way. Well that ends it for us here at Channel 4 news. I’m Ron Burgundy, you stay classy Detroit.

Larsson and Abraham combine for 34 points, both lead in their respective positions and both lead or are mentioned in other categories, Donini is also mentioned in his position and is mentioned in other league leading categories.

That is just our offense, and I hope a lot of the GM's now feel stupid for passing on me, lol.

Good read Cheers

And you still can't outscore a defenseman. Sad life.

Get real buddy! The Swedish connection is the best thing since Jagr and Lemieux. Throw Donini in there and you've got a championship line.

Abraham and Larsson got a lot of points in the ONE game the played today while you guys played TWO. You guys have played more games, and @Jamie you're a returning defender. You've twice the TPE than Larsson and Abraham is like 165+ away from you.
