1st round pick (8th Overall)

Obviously first Spidey and I have to thank Mark Malyckyj for his year here. I think he's only 13 years old and is already one of the most mature people on the site. Going into next season we had to cut some cap and this helps us in that area. We also pick up a 1st rounder and we believe we can get a top propect at 8th overall. Not to mention bringing back Jan Benda.

Thanks Wadey for the easy negotiations. I wish you luck with Maly!

It was becoming increasingly apparent that the person that I was hoping for at 8th pick would be gone, so I've decided to go in a different direction and continue to bolster my defense. Maly is someone that has been praised in my LR and I knew that I had to have him, our defense continues to improve, Maly in a 2nd pairing role put up big numbers this season and I look forward to him doing it again in Silver and Black as he continues to improve. Thanks to Benda for his time with the team, hope you don't mind going back to CGY Tongue
