- FourFour - 02-24-2014

We have reports in from inside the Texas Management that Simo Hayha may not be a member of the Renegades come the start of the season. After Rufus Reinhart, and Chico Salmon were signed to high paying contracts, it seems that the remaining cap that Texas has is not the right amount of money Hayha wants to be playing with.

Chico Salmon (first overall pick in the draft this offseason) was recently signed to a two year $15M contract. This contract earns Salmon $7.5M per season, along with that huge contract, GM Elias Armia also kept leading scorer Rufus Reinhart in Texas for a whopping $10M dollar contract for only one season. Now with the other players earning top dollars such as Jordin FourFour and Lionel Byrde. Only 3M remains in the Texas Budget. Simo seems to be stern on how much money he wants, but he has not clearly told the management what he wants. With Simo also being a Co-GM on the team, he would be eligible for the 2M management budget bonus in his contract.

We now hear from some players who speak about Hayha's contract debacle.

"Honestly, I think Hayha is making a huge deal out of this. Even if he signs for the $3M, he still gets the $2M management bonus. He is making this all about himself. Some guys just need to take a pay cut for the team. He needs to sign as soon as possible so we can get our D-core from last season back. Hopefully, he will realize that this isn't all about him and he needs to think of the team first."[/b]

"I took a pay cut for the contracts to go through, honestly, now he's making a big deal out of it. But I love Simo, so I can't be mad at him *makes a heart at the camera" [/b]

"He is a bigger scrub that Charlesbois was. Hayha doesn't even need to be on this team, I can play better defense than he ever will. Hopefully he doesn't sign and we can use that money to something worthwhile.. my contract is expiring this season.. hmm"

"If Simo Hayha doesn't sign in Texas again, I will follow him to wherever he goes, and if Elias Armia doesn't trade me, I am retiring, recreating, and never signing with Texas ever again."

"I'm too baked, come ask me in 4 seasons"

As it sounds from his team, maybe this is the reason he won't sign in Texas! With teammates that aren't caring about him. As it stands at this moment, Simo Hayha looks to be better off continuing his career elsewhere than Texas.
